Desert Moon Bowl

Subtle curves, soft edges — this bowl reminds me of the calm glow of a desert moon.
Soft Matte outside, smooth inside, it holds food like it holds silence — gently and fully.

Perfect for salads, curries, or just being still.

It’s deeply moving to see pottery being embraced not just as an object, but as something that stirs the spirit. More and more, people are discovering the peace and presence that come with working clay — the way it slows you down, anchors you, and asks you to feel.

A beautiful write-up by Priya, who took the time to speak with a few of us potters — not just to ask questions, but to truly listen. In doing so, she’s given voice to the quiet, soulful heart of our craft.

There’s a beautiful shift happening — where process holds as much weight as product, where the journey of making becomes the art itself.

To witness this growing love for clay and craft is a quiet joy, every single day. 🌿🌀

Reimagining my Earthscape bowls — this time, I’m exploring new shapes while keeping the same raw texture and grounded feel. They’ll come in a slightly larger size palette than I usually work with — bolder in presence, yet still intimate in essence.

Born of Fire and Smoke
Raku doesn’t rush.
It waits for the right moment —
when clay is glowing,
when the heart is still.

Then comes the pull, the hiss,
the surrender to smoke and ash.
Cracks appear like quiet truths,
and black scars bloom where fire once kissed.

What’s left is not just a pot —
it’s a memory held in earth.
Raw, imperfect, and deeply human.

The Magic of Raku Firing
There’s a moment when the glowing pot meets the cold air and smoke curls around it — that’s when the magic happens.
The glaze cracks gently, like a whisper from the fire. Ash settles, carbon kisses the surface, and the smell of burnt wood lingers in your hands.
It’s messy, unpredictable, and full of feeling.
Each piece holds the memory of that wild moment — imperfect, alive, and completely its own.

Rooted in concrete, rising in clay.
This lamp stand is a quiet sculpture — hand-built with a rustic rhythm, each form shaped in conversation with the next.
Raw, textured, imperfect — grounded by a solid concrete base and built to bring warmth, presence, and soul to any space.

Rhythm of the Divine

The ceramic Rudraksha beads, each hand-formed and textured, carry a deep sense of grounding and organic rhythm. Crafting them was a meditative process—rolling, shaping, and carving each bead to reflect nature’s imperfections.

The canvas has an expressive, layered background with bold strokes of black, red, blue, yellow, and white, giving it a raw and dynamic feel. The rough brushstrokes, along with the earthy tones of the Rudraksha beads, create a striking contrast between spirituality and abstract art.

The final touch of firing transformed them—making them permanent, yet still earthy to the touch.

The moment the piece was complete, it felt like a revelation—a balance between chaos and serenity, the old and the new.

Seeing it finished brought a quiet sense of fulfillment. It carried the weight of tradition through the Rudraksha, yet also my voice through abstraction.

It became more than just an artwork; it became a bridge between spiritual heritage and contemporary expression.

This dark brown vase has a bold yet elegant look, with random white lines adding a natural, artistic touch.
Its semi-glossy finish gives it a subtle shine, enhancing the rich color.
The shape is oval with a narrow neck, flat yet strong in presence. A perfect blend of form and texture, it works beautifully.

This wall mural is a stunning example of ceramic art, featuring an arrangement of handcrafted terracotta forms on two white panels.
The organic composition, made of hollow circular pottery pieces, took almost 16-17 days to complete, plus 4 days to finalize the placement.
Once the ceramic pieces are ready, sketches don’t always work, so intuition plays a big role in arranging them.
I’ve done a similar project before and had fun experimenting again.
There were lots of trials, especially with layering and positioning. We can create these in white, black, or any color.

The earthy terracotta tones contrast beautifully with the white background, adding warmth and depth to the space.
