How 12 foot Giant Puppets amazed Aamir Khan and 7000 farmers across Maharashtra?
Paani Foundation's Farmer Cup 2023 brought giant puppets to life, standing 11-12 feet tall. The puppet of Ravan symbolized the 10 issues farmers face, while Bali Raja embodied the victory of the Farmer movement. These puppets were designed by Ventriloquist, and Puppet Maker duo Ramdas Padhye & Satyajit Padhye, and their team. The puppets were crafted in 2 months in Ramdas Padhye’s Mumbai based puppet studio. A mesmerizing dance drama at Balewadi stadium, Pune, witnessed by 7000 farmers, unfolded the tale using traditional "Powada" poetry. Popular choreographer Phulva Khamkar choreographed our puppets through her well trained dancers and made the puppets dance so skilfully. The event was anchored by popular actors Spruha Joshi and Jitendra Joshi. Special thanks to Founder of Paani Foundation Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, Co-founder Kiran Rao, CEO Satyajit Bhatkal, COO Reena Dutta, mentor Dr Avinash Pol, creative directors Suresh Bhatia and Christopher Rego and the entire Paani Foundation team for weaving puppetry into this unique narrative. 🌾✨
पाणी फाउंडेशन च्या फार्मर कप २०२३ मध्ये शब्दभ्रमकार, बाहुलीकार व बाहुल्यांचे रचनाकार रामदास पाध्ये व त्यांचा मुलगा सत्यजित पाध्ये आणि त्यांच्या संपूर्ण टीम ह्यांनी दोन १० ते १२ फूटी उंच बाहुल्या बनवल्या होत्या. एक बाहुली होती शेतीच्या संकटरूपी १० तोंडी महाकाय रावणाची, जी शेतकऱ्याचे १० समस्यांच प्रतीक आहे व दुसरी बाहुली होती लाखांचा पोशिंदा व अन्नदाता बळी राजा म्हणजेच शेतकऱ्याची. हा भव्य दिव्य सोहळा पुण्याच्या बालेवाडी स्टेडियम मध्ये संपन्न झाला. संपूर्ण नृत्यनाटिका एका पोवाड्यात ७००० हून अधिक शेतकऱ्यांन समोर सादर केली गेली. प्रसिद्ध नृत्यांगना फुलवा खामकर ह्यांनी त्यांच्या डान्सर्स वापरून ह्या बाहुल्या सादर केल्या. फार्मर कप २०२३ च सूत्रसंचालन प्रसिद्ध अभिनेत्री स्पृहा जोशी व अभिनेता जितेंद्र जोशी ह्यानी आपल्या खास शैलीत केलं. ह्या बाहुली कलेच्या अशा अनोख्या वापरा साठी आम्ही पाणी फाउंडेशनचे संस्थापक आणि बॉलिवूड एक्टर आमिर खान, सहसंथापक किरण राव, सीईओ सत्यजीत भटकळ, रीना दत्ता, डॉ अविनाश पोळ, सुरेश भटिया व ख्रिसतोफार रेगो आणि पानी फाउंडेशन चे सर्व सहकारी ह्यांचे आभार मानतो.
