There are some friends of who have stood by us since the very beginning. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and goodwill have played a significant role in helping this Pujo grow into what it is today over the last eight years.
One such friend, patron, sponsor, and well-wisher was Sundeep Mehta, ex Zee TV. It is with profound sadness that we share the news of his passing on June 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a dear friend of one of our founders Shoukat Mukherjee and Aditi Majumder Mukherjee
Leaving us in his mid-fifties, Sundeep's departure feels far too soon. He leaves behind a loving family, dear friends, and countless cherished memories that will continue to live on in our hearts.
At Ananda Utsav, we will remember him not only for his warmth, generosity, and ever-friendly nature, but also for his remarkably talented voice, which we had the privilege of hearing and enjoying on many occasions.
People like Sundeep make the world a kinder, brighter, and more beautiful place. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory continue to inspire all those whose lives he touched. Our condolences and strength to the loving family.
