Rani Lakshmi Bai – A Warrior Etched in Drips
Curated under the Sigra Art District initiative by the Varanasi Development Authority and executed by Curves and Colors, this striking mural reimagines the indomitable spirit of Rani Lakshmi Bai with an innovative technique developed by contemporary artist Tushar Kamble.

This towering tribute depicts the queen riding her iconic horse Baadal, sword raised high, captured in a unique visual language. Tushar’s signature method begins with expressive vertical drips in varying hues, creating the tonal volume and emotional weight of the image from the top down. The negative space is then masked with precise white detailing, revealing the fierce silhouette of the warrior queen amidst chaos—both powerful and poetic.

Painted in the heart of Varanasi, this mural blends modern abstraction with historic reverence, inviting viewers to experience freedom, courage, and art on a monumental scale.
