ISHEETA CHAKRVARTY COLLECTIVE

After having a long staring competition for months with this artwork, I have finally emerged victorious and feel now is the right time to post it.

Thanks to , for being the amazing singer she is, I was able to experience this fusion jazz band lead by .c at Prithivi Theatre. Owing to the theatre's intimate setting and arrangement I was lucky to be able to view this from the front row.

The whole set was crisp and clean, and one you must witness live, the acoustics at the theatre obviously contributed to that. I hope I am able to sketch more of your musicals acts .c

As an artist, there's something magical about capturing live music through sketches - each stroke dancing to the rhythm of the melodies. Last month at the Mumbai Jazz Festival , I had the incredible privilege of documenting an extraordinary fusion of global jazz talents through my illustrations.

From Solah's mesmerizing blend of Western classical and African instruments, to Milli Janatkova's innovative solo performance with looping harmonies, every act brought its unique flavor to the stage. The Silivan Joray Trio transported us to the heart of New York's jazz scene, while Hillai Govareen's saxophone solos left us spellbound.

The festival reached its perfect crescendo with Lonitseera from Estonia, who turned an unexpected car alarm interruption into an improvised musical moment! Their theatrical performance, woven with Estonian folklore and mythology, reminded me why live music is such a powerful muse for my art.
