Sri Sankara Mattham is one of the oldest temples in mumbai , the main idol of this temple is the Shiva-lingam, and the Adi Sankaracharya idol. Lord Ganesh, Devi, Surya (Sun God), Lord Vishnu, Kartikeya and the Dakshina murthi the Guru form of Lord Shiva). The main festival of the temple is Adi Shankaracharya’s birthday which falls on Shukla Panchami Day of Vaishakha Month during May. Ram Navami an

d Navratri are also celebrated with huge aplomb. The highlight of Sri Sankara Mattham is Maha Pradosham and Suryanamskaram on Sundays with the chants of Aruna Prasnam, Surya Mantram and Navagraha Stotram.
