Activities of the Anushaktinagar Odi

Anushaktinagar Oriya Association consists of Odia speaking employees serving Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The association has a broad objective towards furthering the cultural & social heritage and tradition of our country. The association is contributing various platforms for exchange of Odia culture and other Indian traditions. The association was initiated in 1997 and has been involved in organizing classical dance, drama and also encouraging literature aptitude in children through the annual publication of a souvenir. The association was formally registered in 2008.

Cultural Program:

Annual Function: Anushaktinagar Oriya Association (AOA) organizes cultural programs staged by its own members and their family every year in the annual function. In addition, we also invite famous cultural troupe from Odisha where people irrespective of their cultural affiliation are invited to witness the same.

Kalinga Mahotsav: AOA, true to its tradition, has initiated and provided a platform, to show-case & promote the richness of Indian culture and heritage, as a part of its activities towards increasing awareness of our nationhood amongst today’s youth. In this Mahotsav various schools of Odissi Dances in & around Mumbai performed in a group dance competition. The event has attracted a large number of audiences. AOA has successfully organized two editions of Kalinga Mahotsav. The first edition was held in February 6th and 7th 2010. The second edition held in April 2011. An Ethnic Odishi Food festival was also organized by Odia house wives during the mahotsav.
