"From Hand To Mouth-Reconstruction"-is the title of the work, from year 2001. (Image_transfer and Acrylics on paper).
There's a Story behind this work, about how this one happened. After returning back from my Art-Residency at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, Ireland, I came back to Bombay(Mumbai) and then to my native place home of my parents. I met with a fatal Road Accident (hit and run case), somehow survived. I worked in the state of being hospitalised, which was my participation in one of Adajania's Curated Show at FAC, Mumbai. But this is not that work though, but done during that period. I was going through a tough time, mentally, emotionally as well as financially. I had joined a part time job then to survive for a brief period, and only after this a "New phase" began and soon I was able to do my 2nd Solo Exhibition. 2003 to 2007 was great for me in many ways! I haven't had a Solo since long now, but things have started moving slowly now!

The term "today art" often refers to contemporary art, which encompasses the art produced in the current time. Contemporary art generally refers to artworks created from the late 20th century to the present day. This era is marked by a diverse range of styles, mediums, and techniques. Key characteristics of contemporary art include:

Diversity of Mediums and Techniques: Contemporary artists use a wide variety of materials and methods, from traditional painting and sculpture to digital art, video, performance, and installation art.

Global Perspective: Contemporary art is more global than ever before, with artists from all over the world contributing to the discourse. This has led to a rich tapestry of cultural influences and perspectives.

Interdisciplinary Approaches: Many contemporary artists draw on multiple disciplines, including science, technology, and social sciences, to inform their work. This interdisciplinary approach allows for innovative and thought-provoking pieces.

Conceptual Emphasis: Contemporary art often focuses on ideas and concepts rather than solely on aesthetic value. This means that the meaning behind the work can be as important, if not more so, than its visual appearance.

Engagement with Social and Political Issues: Many contemporary artists address current social, political, and environmental issues in their work. This can include commentary on identity, globalization, technology, and more.

Audience Interaction: There is a growing trend towards art that encourages audience participation or interaction. This can include interactive installations, participatory performances, and other forms of engagement.

Use of Technology: The integration of technology is a significant feature of contemporary art. Artists are increasingly using digital tools, virtual reality, augmented reality, and other technological innovations to create their work.

Contemporary art is constantly evolving, reflecting the complexities and dynamics of the current world. It can be challenging to categorize or define because it includes such a broad and varied range of practices and ideas.

"Where's our Share?"
- 2000

The wealth creator working class, labour class, and the marginalised deprived Caste section is the major part of _Nation_building.
But the whole of the Social Economy is a sum of an unequal (and a non-righteous one) distribution of resources, land and wealth.
So it is the Privileged_Castes holding and hoarding all the wealth and cultural capital, and this hierarchial position is standing against the true wellbeing of the_Nation and wholesome Progress.
That's why you get to see so much disparities, people in distress, homeless, hungry and begging for food, some dying_because of not affording the costs of medicine, and some even committing _Suicides.
It is a Sad_state, therefore the Policies need to be _Re-set.
The Benificiary Castes won't ever agree to the facts, while languishing in the abundance that they have, while rest of the majority bahujan* population is at the receiving end, empty handed.
