There is something sacred about healing.
I began my healing journey in my early 20s after surviving childhood and teenage depression, and over the years, healing has taught me things no school or person ever could.
1. Healing teaches you to witness your own life.
To slow down.
To be fully present.
To feel the wind, the silence, the sunlight, the grief, the joy — all of it.
2. It teaches you to honor what your soul genuinely loves.
You stop living for performance and validation. You begin choosing soft mornings, quiet hobbies, long walks, slow living, peace, rest, creativity, and things that make you feel alive — even if the world doesn’t understand them.
3. Healing also teaches you that pain is not always an enemy. Sometimes pain is a messenger. A sign that something in your life is out of alignment.
I used to think healing meant being happy all the time, but true healing is learning how to hold both joy and sadness with compassion.
4. Most importantly, healing helps you rebuild trust with yourself.
You stop abandoning yourself to please the world. You become your safest home. You learn to always return to your true self no matter the obstacle that comes.
The version of you that chooses peace over chaos.
Slow living.
Inner peace.
Soft healing.
Gentle living.
A quiet life.
That is the kind of life I now protect deeply. 🌿
