Shree Thanjavur Nrityashala - Shree TNS Founded in 1960 by Pandit Guru Venugopal Pillai and his wife Guru Smt. Jayshree Pillai, who are senior disciples of Late Guru Acharya Parvati Kumar

Shree Tanjavur Nrityashala encourages poise and posture, self motivation, rhythm, expression and personal development through ancient classical dance 'Bharatanatyam' and also contemporize ancient Indian classical dance with modern forms of dance and continue to research in the field indian ancient scripts. Shree Tanjavur Nrityashal is a training ground for professional artists, dedicated to providing excellence in dance education and youth performance.

It was indeed an honour to be awarded the "Tarang Padma" award on 25th October,2015.

We had a wonderful and joyous experience. Our performance comprised of one of the most unique compositions, The Tandava Lasya, choreographed and composed by our Gurus Pt. Guru Venugopal Pillai and Guru Smt. Jayshree Pillai, which was combined and followed by a fusion band piece Bhrahmagam composed by the Mojo band.
