Indian Ceramics Triennale

Indian Ceramics Triennale Artist projects are aimed to question convention and be expansive in their scope through installation, interaction and technology or performance.

Breaking Ground: International Investigations in Clay is the first edition of the Indian Ceramics Triennale, scheduled to open in August 2018 at the Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur. At the core of the Triennale’s first edition will be a group of artists, both international and Indian, whose projects will showcase and encourage alternative, experimental, experiential and site specific uses for ceramics, beyond the confines of the art gallery.

International Open Call for Artists | Apply by May 15, 2026

For the third edition of the Indian Ceramics Triennale, we invite artists to explore play as a mode of inquiry, one that moves between risk and joy, structure and improvisation. Play allows us to question systems, disrupt patterns, and imagine new futures in material and making. Through inventiveness, humour, provocation, performance, and colour, we invite artists to question the forces AT PLAY.

The open call is live. Apply by 15 May 2026.
