On 11 February 2026, W***h was informed that promotional activities relating to the festival were to be paused. As the screenings were one week away, and in the absence of clarity, it was not possible to secure an alternate venue within the required timeframe.

W***h understands that several filmmakers had made travel arrangements and deeply regrets the inconvenience caused.

W***h Film Festival remains committed to building meaningful collaborations across institutions and looks forward to future opportunities in Kolkata. Stay Tuned.

And continue to dream BIG!

W***h Film Festival 2026: Méliès d’Argent Competition Lineup

The W***h Film Festival presented its first-ever selection of short films competing for the Méliès d’Argent.

The competition took place in India, with screenings held in Kolkata from 19 to 22 February and in Mumbai from 26 February to 1 March 2026.

The Méliès d’Argent competition is dedicated to European-produced fantastic genre short films and is organised within the framework of the Méliès International Festivals Federation.
