India's home theatre is having a moment — and it's not just the metros anymore 🎬

From farming households in Punjab lighting up the wall for IPL nights, to Andhra Pradesh's cinema-first culture moving home, the projector-led big screen is going mainstream across India in 2026.

The numbers back it up: India's home projector market is set to roughly double by 2029, growing 20–25% a year. And as more projectors move into everyday, sunlit living rooms (not just dark dedicated rooms), the screen has stopped being an afterthought motorized, frameless, ambient-light-rejecting screens are now the starting point, not the upgrade.

A client in Pune came to us with a 14 × 12 ft dedicated home theatre room.

The brief was clear:
• 4K laser projection
• In-wall speakers behind the screen
• A recessed ceiling light adding ambient illumination

The challenge? Finding a screen that could deliver an immersive visual and audio experience while allowing the speakers to sit discreetly behind the screen.

We specified the Lumina Accupix Pro, an acoustically transparent woven screen surface designed to support high-resolution visuals while allowing speakers to be placed behind the screen. Its unique weave pattern helps minimise sound loss and enhance audio transparency, while its colour-neutral surface supports accurate image reproduction and HDR performance.
