A celebration of the diverse art of the diverse peoples in The Commonwealth of Nations.

Calling for entries from artists who are:

A resident of a country that is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations; or;
A citizen of a member country (or member jurisdiction) of the Commonwealth of Nations.

Entry is online.

At least one artist from each member country will be accepted as a finalist.

Any medium may be used.

Any topic may be addressed.

Judging will be online.

“In the Age of Mechanical Reproduction,” shows technologies that help parents with breastfeeding, especially pumps, shields, tubes, and other plastic devices. The photographs underscore how artificial devices expand but also disrupt our sense of what bodies do ‘naturally.’

The photos also make visually clear how much work and assistance it takes for all bodies, even those generally viewed as normative, cisgender, and female, to achieve naturalness, and that technology and artificiality are now a part of the process of enacting womanhood across a spectrum of experiences.

is an artist & professor who teaches in the departments of History and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her scholarship, artwork, and curatorial practice reflect her interest in q***r and trans history, science and technology, archives and collectives, and feminist activism.

was born and brought up in Vasco, Goa. He’s a data analyst by profession but got into photography during the pandemic and he likes to shoot on both, digital and analog cameras. ✨

Shivam is a part of our Goa Whatsapp Group and initiated an idea for a photowalk to St. Estavam island near divar island. 3 enthu cutlets from the group (Anish, Manjari & Brijesh) joined him! 🥳

“We pretty much walked the entire island. It has some really pretty houses. We also met an old couple living on the island and asked them if we could shoot some portraits of them and they agreed.

The island felt very secluded with lots of fields and narrow roads. We wrapped up by afternoon, took a ferry and left.

We talked a lot on the way. Got to know each other. It was fun!”

Esp for people growing up in dysfunctional families and dealing with underlying challenges, a "magical" holiday only brings grief.

The Pittsburgh-based artist Bakula Nayak’s () first solo show in New Delhi, 'I am ok. and other lies I tell', opens today at Blueprint 12 ().

The exhibition features a selection of drawings, paintings, photo collages and assemblages from Bakula’s new "body series" that taps into large feminist discourses referencing patriarchal notions of physical beauty, gendered medical practices and limited access to care.

'I am ok. and other lies I tell' will remain on view at Blueprint 12 until 12th November.

Bakula Nayak has an Undergraduate degree in Architecture and an MSc 
in Communication Design from Pratt Institute, New York. She had a long stint in retail package design with global powerhouse brands before launching her own design company. Bakula began her journey as an artist in 2013, working with drawing, painting and mixed media. The cornerstone of her art practice is that of sensitive storytelling using vintage paper and found objects. Bakula lives and works in Pittsburgh, USA, with strong ties to Bangalore, India.
