How it all began !

My journey to learn cooking started back in 2003. While I was still in my second year of junior college. I had plans to travel abroad for further studies. That is when I started learning to cook the basic and simple recipes of dry aloo sabzi, aloo matar, dal & rice etc. Recipe's, which were simple and didn’t require many ingredients. They were quick and easy to make. So before moving, mastered a few of the basic ones. Naturally, it took many disastrous trial and error at home before I started to get a hang of it and with little time I eventually improved my skills.

I was always a foodie, perhaps that helped a lot in learning and experimenting when it came to cooking.

Once I moved to the UK for my BBA in 2004, for the first few weeks I stayed with my cousin and later I was supposed to move to my university accommodation.

I met one of her flatmates who was a trained Chef and had years of experience working in the kitchens of the big guns in India like Taj, Oberoi, Radisson and many others (not particularly in that order). Ultimately, I had decided not to move to university accommodation and stayed with them for 4 years. Through him, I learned many innovative ways of cooking, hacks and enhanced my skills not to forget that I made one of my closest friends for life. Cooking sessions with him with a Beer in one hand and a Ladle in the other are some of the best memories of my life.
