National Award-winning writer, director, lyricist, and comedian Varun Grover brings his latest stand-up solo, Love, Death & Ketchup.

Love, Death & Ketchup is his most personal and experimental show to date. Built around two of his most irrational fears: death and the world running out of ketchup, the show moves through morbid, absurd, and unexpectedly tender stories drawn from his own life. What begins in humour gradually unfolds into something more layered: a meditation on anxiety, memory, and the strange logic of everyday existence.

Set in the aftermath of Partition, the story explores how fear, prejudice and suspicion can turn ordinary people against one another. Nearly eight decades later, it remains a poignant reflection on compassion, coexistence and the choices we make when the world around us is divided. A story that asks what freedom means when fear begins to shape the way we see one another.

In Collaboration with Blue Material | Stand Up Comedy Collective

Associated with the anti-caste movement, the color blue signifies the sky, a symbol of non-discrimination, under which everyone is treated equally while at the same time 'Blue' comedy is a genre of comedy that is often labelled off-color, risqué, indecent or “profane”.
That is exactly the duality that inspired our name: Blue Material, and we are India’s first, Dalit-led, q***r affirmative comedy collective.

Using humour, satire and absurdity in the best possible ways, the show highlights the realities of caste, other intersecting forms of oppression and the importance of seeking, creating and amplifying joy among it all.

Proceeds from the show will be donated towards education reform via the Eklavya India Foundation, a prestigious organisation focused on the upliftment of first generation university students from historically marginalised communities.
