AISHWARYA HARISH hails from a family of artistes representing the 5th generation of performing artistes. She was Initiated into the art of Bharata Nrityam, at the age of 4 by her mother, Dr. Jayashree Rajagopalan. She performed her Arangetram in the august presence of her mother’s Guru Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam. Her first dance performance at the age of 7 was before Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
She holds a Master’s degree in Ancient Indian Culture, History and Archaeology from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai University and is a post-graduate diploma holder in social Communications media from The Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai. She has also qualified for M.F.A. in Bharatanatyam under Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, from the SASTRA University, Tanjavur.
Aishwarya has completed her Nritya Shali course on the performance and theory of 108 Karanas of the Natya Sastra. She has learnt Carnatic vocal music from Smt. Vijayalakshmi Nathan & her grandmother Late Smt. Leela Gopalan. She has also undergone special training in Bhajan-singing and is a graded artiste with the Doordarshan Kendra, Mumbai. Aishwarya is the cultural co- ordinator at Nrithyodaya, The Academy Of Performing Arts, Mumbai and heads its Tilak Nagar branch.
Aishwarya is the recipient of the Director K. Subrahmanyam Endowment prize for securing first place in the Masters course in Bharatanatyam, from Sastra University, Thanjavur and is a Rank holder in the Mumbai University for securing the first place in the Masters course in Ancient Indian Culture.
She is the recipient of :

• ‘NrithyaShivali’ & ‘Shivali Nrithya Shiromani’ Award from the Shivali Cultural Society.
• ‘Best Indian Classical Dancer Award for 2021’ from the Lions Clubs International.
• ‘Nrithya Nipuna’ Award at Atharvothsav.
• ‘Maanikya Mani’ from Nrithyodaya, Mumbai.
She has performed in leading festivals in Melbourne, Nantes and Paris, Tirumala, Tirupati, Amrita Yuva Kalotsav, Kala Ghoda Festival Mumbai, Sivaratri Natyanjali Festivals in Chidambaram, Kumbakonam, Nagapatnam, Tirunallar, Swamimalai, Margazhi Music & Dance festival, Chennai, Mood Indigo Festival, IIT, Mumbai etc
