🌞 *कभी भगवान राम ने भी की थी छठ मैया की पूजा - 28 अक्टूबर 2025*

🌷 *कार्तिक मास शुक्ल षष्ठी को सूर्य साधना का महापर्व छठ पूजा के रूप में प्राचीन काल से मनाने की परम्परा अनवरत चली आ रही है। छठ पूजा वास्तव में सूर्य साधना का श्रेष्ठतम पर्व है। इसकी मान्यता सर्वत्र है, जिसका प्रमाण ऋग्वेद के सूर्य सूक्त में इस प्रकार दिया गया है-*👇

🌷 *'येना पावक चक्षसा भुरण्यंतम् जनां अनु। त्वं वरुण पश्यसि।'*

🌷 *अर्थात् जिस दृष्टि यानी प्रकाश से आप (सूर्य) प्राणियों को धारण-पोषण करने वाले इस लोक को प्रकाशित करते हैं, हम उस प्रकाश की स्तुति करते हैं।*

🌷 *त्रेतायुग में रामराज्य की स्थापना के साथ छठ पूजा का प्रारम्भ हुआ, इसका उल्लेख प्राचीन धर्म ग्रंथों में पाया जाता है। एक मान्यता के अनुसार लंका विजय के बाद रामराज्य की स्थापना के दिन कार्तिक शुक्ल षष्ठी के दिन भगवान श्रीराम और माता सीता ने व्रत रख कर सूर्य देव की आराधना की और सप्तमी को सूर्योदय के समय पुन: अनुष्ठान कर सूर्य देव से आशीर्वाद लिया था। तभी से छठ पूजा का विशेष महत्व है।*

🌷 *इस व्रत और पूजा की चर्चा विष्णु पुराण, ब्रह्मवैवर्त पुराण, देवी पुराण आदि प्राचीन धर्म ग्रंथो में विस्तार से की गई है। ऋग्वैदिक काल से सूर्योपासना होती आ रही है। मध्यकाल से छठ पूजा व्यवस्थित रूप से प्रचलन में आई। द्वापर युग के महाभारत काल में कर्ण ने सूर्य देव की पूजा प्रारम्भ की और सूर्य की कृपा से महान योद्धा बने।*

🌷 *तभी से अर्घ्य दान की परम्परा स्थापित हुई। इसी कालखंड में पांडवों की पत्नी द्रौपदी ने सूर्य की पूजा अपने प्रियजनों के उत्तम स्वास्थ्य और लम्बी आयु के लिए प्रारम्भ की थी। इस सम्बन्ध में एक अन्य कथा भी प्रचलित है-*

🌷 *प्राचीन काल में एक राजा थे प्रियंवद। उन्हें कोई संतान नहीं थी। तब महर्षि कश्यप ने पुत्रेष्टि यज्ञ सम्पन्न किया और यज्ञाहुति के लिए तैयार की गई खीर का सेवन राजा की पत्नी मालिनी को कराया, जिसके प्रभाव से उन्हें पुत्र हुआ। लेकिन वह पुत्र मृत अवस्था में जन्मा था। राजा प्रियंवद पुत्र को लेकर श्मशान गए और पुत्र वियोग में प्राण त्यागने लगे। उसी समय भगवान की मानस कन्या देवसेना प्रकट हुईं और राजा प्रियंवद को सूर्य की पूजा करने के लिए प्रेरित किया। राजा ने षष्ठी का व्रत किया और उन्हें पुत्र की प्राप्ति हुई।*

🌷 *चार दिवसीय छठ पर्व का प्रारम्भ कार्तिक शुक्ल पक्ष चतुर्थी को और समापन सप्तमी को होता है। इस पर्व में स्वच्छता का विशेष ध्यान रखा जाता है। षष्ठी तिथि को सभी व्रती नदी, तलाब, नहर किनारे एकत्रित होकर लोक गीतों की मधुर धुन के साथ अस्ताचलगामी भगवान सूर्य को अर्घ्य देते हैं।*

🌷 *इसके बाद सप्तमी को पुन: सूर्योदय के समय अर्घ्य देकर व्रत पूर्ण करते हैं। अस्त और उदय होते सूर्य की आराधना यानी छठ व्रत की परम्परा भारत में पूर्वांचल से प्रारम्भ होकर सम्पूर्ण भारत और विश्व में विस्तारित हो चुकी है। सूर्य को शक्ति का देवता माना जाता है और इनकी आराधना काफी महत्व रखती है। यह भी मान्यता है कि छठ देवी सूर्य भगवान की बहन हैं और उन्हीं को प्रसन्न करने के लिए जीवन में सूर्य और जल की सर्वाधिक महत्ता मानते हुए सूर्य की आराधना पवित्र जल में खड़े होकर की जाती है।*
