Telangana was formed on 2nd June, 2014. It is the 29th and youngest state of India.
In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb” describes the culture of Telangana. Even today, this is probably the only place where Muharram is celebrated jointly by Muslims and Hindus. The Medak Cathedral (diocese) is the single largest diocese in Asia and the second in the world after the Vatican and everyday huge number of non-Christian visit the church.
Telangana Palette is highly diverse. Especially, the Nizami cuisine of Hyderabad is special, Hyderabadi Biryani, Haleem are recognized and enjoyed by people from all over the world.
Telangana Bonalu or Mahankali bonalu is a Hindu Festival, Goddess Mahakali is worshiped. Bonalu is an annual festival of Telangana celebrated in Twin Cities Hyderabad, Secunderabad and other parts of Telangana, India. It is celebrated in the month of Ashada Masam, in July/August. Special poojas are performed for Yellamma on the first and last day of the festival. The festival is also considered a thanksgiving to the Goddess for fulfillment of vows.
Bathukamma is floral festival celebrated by the Hindu women of Telangana. Bathukamma is celebrated for nine days during Durga Navratri. It starts on the day of Mahalaya Amavasya and the 9-day festivities will culminate on "Saddula Bathukamma" or "Pedda Bathukamma" festival on Ashwayuja Ashtami, popularly known as Durgashtami which is two days before Dussehra.
The IT Industry in Hyderabad is second largest IT Area in India. Microsoft, Google have their biggest campuses in Hyderbad outside US. The prestigious project of IT-IR has been sanctioned to Hyderabad. As part of the project, 2 Lakh Crore Rupees of investment is projected to flow into Hyderabad creating 0.6 Million jobs. T-Hub, the largest Start-up Incubator in India was started in December by the government of Telangana.

The Shiva temple in Mangapet, unique because the deity faces west, is 400 years old.

Shri Laxmi-Narasimha Swamy temple in Mallur (7 km away from Mangapet) is located deep in the forests by the southern banks of the Godhavari River. Chinthamani Lake is a freshwater lake.

The Godavari river flows close to the town of Mallur.

Komuravelli Mallikarjuna swamy Temple popularly known as Komuravelli Mallanna Temple is a Hindu temple located on a hill called Indakeeladri in Komrelly village. It is located near Siddipet on NH - 7 highway. The main deity is of Mallanna or Mallikarjuna Swamy (Lord Shiva). It is located about 95 kilometers from Hyderabad.
The Oggu Katha singers sing the tale of Mallanna here.
The temple is visited during Shivarathri day when Pedda Patnam is celebrated.
Another temple, Konda Pochamma temple is nearby which is visited by the devotees who visit Mallanna temple.
