Saptaswar Baithak
(A Classical Music Baithak of Life)
A homely yet formal rendezvous between an artist and audience. Saptaswar Baithak is a unique and enchanting home concert series that aims to celebrate timeless beauty and rich heritage of Indian Classical music. Rooted in the traditions of intimate Baithak, this home concert seeks to recreate the magical ambience of music, where a
udience would come together in the warm embrace of University of Life campus to experience soul-stirring rendition. The purpose of this Baithak is to foster a deep appreciation for the traditional art form of Indian classical music. We hope to reignite the passion for this art form and rekindle the appreciation for its intricacies, improvisations, and emotive expressions. The event seeks to bridge generational and cultural gaps, inviting people from diverse backgrounds to come together and relish the shared joy of music. We imagine the whole musical fraternity to be a canvas and each artist has their own ideas for creating an incredible art piece in the form of Saptaswar or seven notes. Each artist’s approach to music is molded by their musical lineage, Taalim (teachings), inspirations, nature, and musical convictions. Besides such influences, they also have a distinct signature, which reflects their own musical personality. This Baithak allows the curious audience to question and interact with musicians while also enjoying an exquisite evening of Indian Classical music. We believe that more Rasik or connoisseurs are needed in society to bring serenity, joy, and wisdom into our lives. Let us explore a real emotion of Indian Classical Music in this warm musical gathering on the campus of UNIVERSITY OF LIFE .
