Practising the art of painting and photography since 1996, Jyoti has developed her range of interest in painting from realistic t
o abstract to contemporary. Her passionately earthy and organic colour plate instils freshness and a sense of belongingness in all the paintings she does. For her, painting is a means of self awareness more than self expression. It’s a journey to the depths of oneself. It’s an experience. To be able to express her innovative self, Jyoti feels, is a great enabler in her life. Her artwork conveys simple yet unmentioned emotions which she adds colour to. Her daily routine is what has acted as a catalyst in observing minute details of life. “I have seen myself grow with my art” she says with great earnest. Jyoti inculcated the quality of being grounded from her mother and pays gratitude to her who has also been an inspiration for many of her artworks. She also mentions about the persistent support of her husband, Rizwan Siddiqui and her children. She adds, “It is only when people start enduring their struggles, that they come closer to the various hues of life.” Her photographs are not just clicks, but an intimation of the calling of nature. The closer she gets to the nature, the more grand it looks in her frames.
‘Ibtida – the unfolding’ is a series of Jyoti’s workmanship, focusing on the oneness of life and environment. They no more remain two different identities because she believes that everything around us is the reflection of our inner lives. Born in Faridabad, Haryana, Ms. Jyoti Saini Siddiqui is a Masters in Economics and has specialization in Painting, Photography and Fashion Design. Presently, she is working as a Creative Producer at NoorJahan Moving Images, Lucknow. She has participated in many national and international salon exhibitions of photography across India. She was also invited to participate in many art shows including ‘Silence is gold’ at Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata and ‘Prathmik Rang’ at State Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow.
