Late Prof. Raj Bisaria's 90th Birthday on 10th November 2024 with 'Tirobhoot' a play written and directed by Prafulla Tripathi dedicated to his Guru.

In Loving Memory of our beloved Raj Sir

While the song has ended, the melody of Prof. Raj Bisaria’s life will forever echo in our hearts. He always celebrated life to the fullest. In light of his passing, a Shanti Path will be held today at Hari Om Mandir, Lal Bagh, Lucknow between 4pm to 5pm on 19 February, 2024. Your sincere presence will bring solace to his departed soul.

It is with great sadness that we inform all of you that our Founder and President Padma Shree Prof. Raj Bisaria left us for his heavenly abode on February 16, 2024 at 6:00 pm.

His last rites will be performed traditionally at Baikunth Dham, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow on 17 February, 2024 at 11:00 am.

Before the cremation, his physical body will be taken to Bhartendu Natya Akademi for his students and loved ones to pay last respects at 9:30am.

अत्यंत दुःख के साथ सूचित करना पड़ रहा है कि हमारे पथ-प्रदर्शक 'थिएटर आर्ट्स वर्कशॉप' के संस्थापक पद्मश्री प्रो. राज बिसारिया दिनांक 16 फरवरी, 2024 को शाम 6:00 बजे हम सबको छोड़ कर अपनी अनंत यात्रा पर चले गए। उनका अंतिम संस्कार बैकुंठ धाम, लखनऊ पर 17 फरवरी 2024 को प्रातः 11:00 बजे पारंपरिक रीति से किया जाएगा।

अंतिम संस्कार से पहले प्रातः 9:30 बजे प्रो. राज बिसारिया जी का पार्थिव शरीर उन्हीं के द्वारा स्थापित 'भारतेंदु नाट्य अकादमी' के प्रांगण पर अंतिम दर्शन हेतु ले जाया जाएगा।

Today we completed a 'Acting and theatre orientation workshop for beginners', a weekend workshop program of 2021 at Raj Bisaria Studio which had begun on 17th October 2021. In these Covid times, theatre has suffered a lot as there were Lockdowns and COVID-19 protocols in place. There were less plays and even less workshops for people to attend but with our team's dedication and Raj sir's motivation, we started this workshop and completed it on 6th January 2022. It gives us immense pleasure to conclude this workshop and share some pictures of the final day and a small production prepared in the process. Hope to see you in the coming events. Covid-19 is not over yet so take care and stay safe.
