The year that went by had some bittersweet memories for me and I had been longing to visit jyotirlinga… So, this year my Birthday week kicked off with a long train journey to Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga with my mother Alka Bajpai😘🚂The scenic views and the thrill of adventure made this journey even more memorable. Surrounded by nature and the blessings of Lord Shiva, I couldn't ask for a better way to mark another year. Here’s to new beginnings and spiritual awakenings!

It was an evening where friendships were forged and talents blossomed. Moreover, winning the title of Ms. Fresher 2023 was the finest part👸😍🥰❤️ Wishing all the freshers a remarkable journey ahead!👍👍

31st July 2002 : My D-Day!
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

एक छोटी सी स्कूल जाती हुई बच्ची जिसे कथक सीखते हुए चंद दिन ही हुए थे ; उसकी mummy पूरे june कि छुट्टियों में सुबह तैराकी कराने और शाम को राजस्थानी कालबेलिया नृत्य सिखाने में लगा रही थीं। क्योंकि कालबेलिया नृत्य में काले वस्त्रों कि प्रधानता होती है तो मां इस सोच में थीं कि क्या करें, नया लहंगा बहुत महंगा पड़ता इसलिए अपनी एक काली साड़ी को हाथ से कच्ची सिलाई करके अपनी नन्ही गुड़िया का नया काला लहंगा बना दिया। चोली के लिए बाज़ार से कपड़ा लाकर घर पर ही फुंदने, शीशा लगाकर बना लिया। उसकी छोटी मौसी भी अपनी दीदी के साथ बचपन से dance और music में interest लेती थीं तो अपनी भांजी को कालबेलिया dance सिखाने में वो भी लग गईं पर एक दिक्कत थी उस छुटकी से ठुमका नही लग पा रहा था, दिनभर कमर चालवा कर खूब practice की मौसी - भांजी ने। बेचारी बता - बता के थक गई "शुब्भी ज़ोर से ठुमका लगाओ.." लेकिन शुब्भी से नही हुआ। फिर exact step समझाने के लिए मौसी बोलीं "शुब्बी ऐसे देखो.. ऐसे लगाओ 2 feet का ठुमका" तब जाकर शुब्भी समझ पाई और वहीं से निकला 2 feet का ठुमका(एक तस्वीर में वो झांकती हुइ दिखेंगी आपको)। राय उमानाथ बली प्रेक्षागृह में प्रतियोगिता थी, एक दिन पहले मां ने लेजाकर stage दिखाया," पूरा stage cover करना, आगे पीछे का ध्यान रखना और पीछे dance नही करना, किसी को stage से ढूंढना नही, हमको देखकर मत करना, सामने देखना, expression सारे याद हैं न?." इस तरह ढेर सारी सलाह और अगले दिन competition। शुब्भी ने अच्छा dance किया लेकिन वो इतना अच्छा हो गया कि first prize भी मिल गया और वो तारीख थी 31 july 2002। शुब्भी यानी मेरा पहला पुरस्कार। उसके बाद प्रतियोगिताओं और पुरस्कारों कि झड़ी लग गई..💫💫💫
प्रतियोगिताओं से प्रस्तुतियां और पुरस्कार से सम्मान कब हो गए पता ही नही चला लेकिन हर वर्ष कि यह तारीख मुझे मेरी शुरुवात, कला के क्षेत्र में मेरा पदार्पण, मेरे आरंभ कि याद दिलाती है और मेरे भीतर उस समय कि विभू भी 😻👼
आज 31 july 2023 है और अब बीस साल हो गए हैं मुझे मंच पर आए हुए; मैं देश - विदेश के कई मंचों पर प्रस्तुतियां दे चुकी हूं लेकिन वो लहंगा आज भी कच्ची सिलाई किया हुआ रखा है, वो पुरस्कार भी वैसा ही रखा है showcase में, उसकी newspaper कटिंग भी file में सहेजकर रखी है और वो सारी यादें भी... वही कुछ यादें आपके साथ साझा कर रहे हूं🥹🥹🥹
