Tathva is proud to bring you Padmabhushan Dr. Thomas Kailath, the Hitachi America Emeritus Professor of Engineering at Stanford University.
Recipient of Marconi Lifetime Achievement Medal. His efforts have led to over 300 journal papers, a dozen patents, and several books and monographs, including the textbook "Linear Systems (1980)" widely regarded as the gospel in the subject.
He was awarded the National Medal of Science by the then President Barack Obama for his invaluable contributions to the field of science and helping improve quality of life for countless lives. Prof. Kailath is also an IEEE Fellow and awarded the 2007 IEEE Medal of Honor, the 2006 IEEE Jack S. Kilby Signal Processing Medal, and the 1996 IEEE Donald G. Fink Prize Paper Award for his contributions. He has co-founded several high technology companies including Integrated Systems, Numerical Technologies, and Excess Bandwidth Corporation.
