Atomic clocks are considered to be the world's most precise clocks, with unimaginable accuracy and precision. One may think only scientists could benefit from such advanced clocks, but in fact they play a more important role in our lives than you think.

Tathva presents to you a session on 'Atomic Clocks' with Nobel-laureate physicist Dr. David J Wineland, who has designed ingenious experiments to study quantum phenomena when matter and light interact. He spent most of his career at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado and currently works in the Department of Physics at the University of Oregon.

Register now to interact with Dr. Wineland and gain knowledge about atomic clocks, their working, and their significance.

“Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure Science.”

In 1929 Edwin Hubble discovered that our Universe is continuously expanding. Eighty years later, the Space Telescope that bears his name is being used to study an even more surprising phenomenon: the acceleration of this expansion.

Tathva Lecture Series brings you Dr Adam Riess, 2011 Nobel Prize winner in physics for ‘the discovery of the accelerating expansion of the Universe through observations of distant supernovae’ for a lecture on ‘The Surprising Expansion History of the Universe’.

Tune in to know how professor Riess and his team reached this discovery and the recent evidence that the universe continues to defy our best efforts to predict its behavior.

Join us in unravelling the enigmas of our universe!
