We are happy to share that VISTHAR has received official permission from the Karnataka State Dr. Gangubhai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University in Mysore to run a Diploma in Theatre Arts. This is a significant milestone for us, and we are excited to launch this 10-month diploma course in August.

This new program is designed to provide in-depth training and education in the theatrical arts, fostering creativity and professional development in our students. We believe that this course will not only enhance the cultural landscape of our community but also open up new opportunities for aspiring theatre artists.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Visthar Board for their guidance and support, to Prof. Muzafar Azadi for coming to sign the MOU, and to everyone at Visthar who contributed to this endeavor. We look forward to nurturing the next generation of theatre professionals in alignment with Visthar’s vision and mission!

ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಡಾ. ಗಂಗೂಭಾಯಿ ಹಂಗಲ್ ಸಂಗೀತ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಕ ಕಲೆಗಳ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಿಂದ ಥಿಯೇಟರ್ ಆರ್ಟ್ಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಪ್ಲೊಮಾ ನಡೆಸಲು ವಿಸ್ತಾರ್ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಅನುಮತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಾವು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಇದು ನಮಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲು, ಮತ್ತು ಈ 10 ತಿಂಗಳ ಡಿಪ್ಲೊಮಾ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಆಗಸ್ಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲು ನಾವು ಉತ್ಸುಕರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

ಈ ಹೊಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ನಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು, ನಾಟಕೀಯ ಕಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳವಾದ ತರಬೇತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲು ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಭೂದೃಶ್ಯವನ್ನು ವರ್ಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಆದರೆ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿ ರಂಗಭೂಮಿ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಇದರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಬಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತಾರ್ ಬೋರ್ಡ್‌ಗೆ, ಎಂಒಯುಗೆ ಸಹಿ ಹಾಕಲು ಬಂದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಮುಜಾಫರ್ ಆಜಾದಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ವಿಸ್ತಾರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯ ರಂಗಭೂಮಿ ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತಾರ್ ಅವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಧ್ಯೇಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜೋಡಿಸಲು ನಾವು ಎದುರು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ!

Gratitude!

The Karnataka State Higher Education Academy, an important organization of the Government of Karnataka, conducts several workshops with the objective of empowering the teaching and non-teaching staff of government degree colleges in the state. Now conducting advanced teaching skills training for Associate/Assistant Professors of various subjects these lectures. Time gave for Constitution values as well for two days in the training.

The Academy has identified Visthar as one resource organization to coordinate the two days and as resource persons of the organization, Ms. Mercy Kappen , Ms. Asha V. and I facilitated sessions on constitutional values to five groups of Associate/Assistant Professors in the last five months. The five groups of teachers who underwent the training were in the department of History, Kannada, Political Science and Sociology. The stories of our experiences and the methodology we use in training allowed the academy and the students to involve more enthusiastically in the classroom.

Gratitude to the Karnataka State Higher Education Academy, Associate/Assistant Professors, and Visthar for providing opportunities to learn and teach in new dimensions.

ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳು!

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪದವಿ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಬೋಧಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬೋಧಕೇತರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹಲವಾರು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈಗ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಸಹ/ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಿಗೆ ಸುಧಾರಿತ ಬೋಧನಾ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರವು ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಗಳು. ತರಬೇತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತಾರ್ ನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾದ ಮರ್ಸಿ ಕಾಪ್ಪೆನ್, ಆಶಾ ವಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಕಳೆದ ಐದು ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ಗುಂಪಿನ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಿಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇತಿಹಾಸ, ಕನ್ನಡ, ರಾಜ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಇದ್ದರು. ನಮ್ಮ ಅನುಭವಗಳ ಕಥೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತರಬೇತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಬಳಸುವ ವಿದಾನಗಳು ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಕಾರ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅನುವು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

ಹೊಸ ಆಯಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಕಲಿಯಲು ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ, ಕಲಿಕಾರ್ತಿಗಳು, ಮತ್ತು ವಿಸ್ತಾರ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳು.

Participated in the Campaign named “I too am Rani Channamma” held in Kitturu, Karnataka on the 21st February 2024.

“Nanoo Rani Chennamma” (I too am Rani Chennamma) campaign:
To commemorate 200 years of Kittur Rani Chennamma’s revolt against the British empire, several organisations led by woman activists from across India have come together to launch “Nanoo Rani Chennamma” (I too am Rani Chennamma) campaign and hold a day-long programme at Kittur in Belagavi district. Kittur Rani Chennamma:
Kittur Chennamma (23 October 1778 – 21 February 1829) was the Indian Queen of Kittur, a former princely state in present-day Karnataka. She led an armed resistance against the British East India Company, in defiance of the Paramountcy, in an attempt to retain control over her dominion. She defeated the Company in the first revolt but died as a prisoner of war after the second rebellion. As one of the first and few female rulers to lead kittur forces against British colonisation, she continues to be remembered as a folk hero in Karnataka, she is also an important symbol of the Indian independence movement. Visthar celebrated National Girl Child Day and Savitribhai Phule Jayanti in the Talakkal village of Koppal District. The Kanasu Kishori Sanghatana (KKS) team took the entire responsibility and organised it very well. Dr. Isabella from Dharwad, the Talakkal Grama Panchayat, School teachers and local NGO leaders were the key guests. It was executed like a seminar. Dr. Isabella, Dharmaraj Gonal and I were the three key people who presented papers. Asha also added many sensitive attitudes we need to have during her context setting speech. My topic was ‘the current situation of girl children in Karnataka’. Felt very much happy to be part of the life of young people.

ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ತಳಕಲ್ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಸ್ತಾರ್ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಭಾಯಿ ಫೂಲೆಯವವರನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕನಸು ಕಿಶೋರಿ ಸಂಘಟನೆ (ಕೆಕೆಎಸ್) ತಂಡವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದೆ. ಧಾರವಾಡದ ಡಾ.ಇಸಬೆಲ್ಲಾ, ತಳಕಲ್ ಗ್ರಾ.ಪಂ., ಶಾಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅದನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕೀರಣದಂತೆ ಮೂಡಿಬಂತು. ಡಾ.ಇಸಾಬೆಲ್ಲಾ, ಧರ್ಮರಾಜ್ ಗೋನಾಳ್ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಮೂರು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಭಾಷಣಗಾರರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಿದೆವು. ಆಶಾ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂದರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಸುವ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಹೊಂದಿರಬೇಕಾದ ಅನೇಕ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ವರ್ತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿದರು. ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯ 'ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗತಿ' ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಣ್ಣ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳ ಜೀವನದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಯಿತು.
