As early winter sets in Kolkata, bring your party to Bakstage, Sector-5, Salt Lake this Wednesday. "Bakstage Studio Nights" shall be hosting Arko Chatterjee Ensemble (ACE), as the live act for the week, from 8 p.m. onwards.
Arko Chatterjee Ensemble comprises of Arko on the guitar, Anjan on Bass n Tabla and Samrat on the drums.
Arko has been playing the electric guitar ever since childhood and even has a solo album to his name when he at fourteen. Arko is also the lead guitarist of the band The Hobos and recently released an album with the band. He has been awarded top honours numerous times for his guitar playing skills.
Arko believes in exploring all spheres of musical capabilities to grow as a musician. He presently jams with traditional and Indian classical musicians and has few other side projects to his name.
Come and witness a Tripp loaded evening with Arko in a different Avatar,as never seen before,making love to his guitar, grooving to the beats of tabla and drums and also jamming with various others including the in house DJ.
Special offers on beverages by the host venue which recently won "The Best Lounge Bar" in the city. All are welcome..wholeheartedly!!

Last week, 14th November we had presented Rahul Guha Roy n Friends for Bakstage Studio Nights" and as promised Rahul exhibited the kind of artistic versatility which is every musicians Zen.
Rock n Roll, Reggae, Rap, Hip-Hop was the range of genres that Rahul performed while playing the guitar, he improvised and impromptu rapped with DJ Rohit at the console.The band has a very tight rhythm section with Ritoban (Ludo) at the helm of drums and percussion.The steady Bass and Guitar players Saptarshi and Saumya ensured perfect support for the set they were playing.

The show ended with Rahul ,who was at his soulful best,singing in Swahili, inspiring few diners from Tanzania and Brazil to leave their tables and get into an instant jig with the band.Rahul returned the favour by playing a guitar extempore,leaving the audience in awe.
