fact of the day ..

Although it is common for death and heavy metal bands to be banned from countries because of their controversial acts/lyrics , here are some of the globally loved bands suffering the same fate because of weird reasons -

The Beatles -
banned from Israel in 1964 -
a committee ruled that they had no artistic merit and would cause mass hysteria among youths .

The Rolling Stones -
banned from Japan in 1973 -
Jagger's drug convictions in 67 and 70 put the band on Japan's blacklist .

And here's the worst one of the list ...

Led Zeppelin -
Banned from Singapore in 1972 -
The country had banned long hair on men and hence refused entry to the band .
