Hello, I’m Srijani, a passionate photography enthusiast who believes that every moment holds a story worth telling. As a CSFK student, I have embraced photography not just as a hobby but as a powerful means to connect with the world around me. Whether it’s the quiet streets that whisper untold tales or the vibrant traditions bursting with life, I find joy in capturing these authentic moments that often go unnoticed. Through my lens, I strive to preserve memories that transcend time, creating images that evoke emotion and inspire reflection. Join me on this journey, where every photograph is more than just a picture—it’s a lasting connection to the beauty of life itself.

A short Story about our own - Rabri Gram ...

On the quiet outskirts of Kolkata, I discovered a village that seemed to breathe in the rhythm of sweetness itself. This is Rabri Gram, where Rabri is not just made—it is lived, stirred slowly in every household with a devotion that transcends mere cooking. Through my lens, I followed the women—the silent keepers of this timeless legacy—whose hands tell stories of patience, warmth, and generations passed down with love. Their craft is more than a recipe; it’s a living tradition, a testament to the power of heritage and community. Visiting Rabri Gram is to witness a world where every spoonful carries the essence of history, culture, and heart. This is not just a story about a sweet dish; it’s a story about life itself, quietly unfolding in the hands of these remarkable women.

I have a deep love for travel, people, and documentary photography, and I seize every opportunity to hit the streets with my camera, approaching each shot with dedication and care. My commitment to learning is unwavering, and I firmly believe that the process of growth in photography never truly ends. A significant part of my development has come from - Photography Institute, from where I have learned invaluable lessons that continue to shape my craft.
Day by day, I became more experienced and confident in my abilities, which led me to focus primarily on documentary work and long-term projects. This shift has allowed me to dive deeper into meaningful storytelling and dedicate the time necessary to create impactful content. However, I understand the importance of continuous learning and growth. Whenever I face challenges or need guidance, I still sit down with my mentor to discuss my problems and issues. This ongoing support ensures that I stay on the right path and keep improving, making my work not only more professional but also more fulfilling.

Haldar - More than a decade he is with , he work as a data architect, designing complex data solutions for clients for the past 18 years. His professional life revolves around logic, systems, and structured thinking. But beyond this analytical world, Mithun discovered another way of seeing life—through photography.

Photography slowly became more than just a hobby for him . It turned into a way of experiencing the world. When he hold a camera, it feels like opening a small shutter window inside him—allowing his inner senses to observe and absorb the energy that surrounds us.

’s pov about Photography ….
For me, photography is not only about capturing a moment. It is about feeling the presence of life in that moment. The most powerful expressions of this energy come from people and the environments they live in. The way humans interact with their surroundings, their routines, celebrations, struggles, and quiet pauses—all create layers of stories waiting to be seen.
India is an incredible canvas for this journey. Its everyday life is full of movement, emotion, and diversity. From ordinary daily routines to vibrant occasions, every corner offers moments where human emotions quietly reveal themselves.
Through my photographs, I try to capture these subtle moments—the small exchanges between people, places, and the invisible energy that connects them all.

Sandipan Mukherjee, fondly known as “Sandy” a senior member of CSFK,. Balancing the demanding roles of family and office alongside numerous commitments, Sandy is not able to venture out for photography as regularly these days. However, true artistry cannot be contained for long—wait just a few days, and he will undoubtedly return with renewed vigor.
Sandy’s preferred genres—people photography, human interest stories, and thematic projects—not only showcase his technical prowess but also reflect a profound empathy and curiosity about the world around him. The artistic sense that Sandy brings to his work is truly remarkable; it is both well-decorated and deeply personal.
Today, I am happy to share a beautiful set of photographs by Sandy taken in our famous Kumartuli area. The colors, emotions, and play of light in this collection create an atmosphere so captivating that words can hardly do it justice.
There is no doubt that in the coming days, Sandy will once again immerse himself in regular photography sessions as he did before. We eagerly await the return of his unique point of view (POV) and creativity—because a true artist can never stay away from his art for too long.

Reflecting on the last six months of planning for the Masan Holi photography workshop, I am proud to say that we have successfully completed this journey together as Team Masanholi—a team that has proven itself to be both resilient and dedicated. The challenges were undeniable; capturing this event was far from easy, requiring nearly six or seven hours of continuous shooting. Yet, every team member rose to the occasion with enthusiasm and encouragement, making even the toughest moments manageable.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for your unwavering support throughout this process. For many on our team—about 90%—this was their first experience with such a demanding event. Unlike those who have attended before and could anticipate how best to cover each moment, most were stepping into new territory. That’s why I made it a priority to share my own experiences and insights from previous Masan Holis, doing everything possible to prepare everyone for what lay ahead.

A special moment of gratitude goes out to my brother Manoj Kar for his tremendous energy and steadfast support—his presence truly lifted us all. My sincere thanks also go to Nilanjan Da for his thoughtful gesture in bringing a lovely gift all the way from Kolkata to Varanasi for Manoj; such acts of kindness strengthen our bond as a team.

Lastly, I must acknowledge the hotel management whose hospitality made our stay memorable—their thoughtful gifts for each member added an extra layer of warmth and appreciation. Together, these experiences remind me how powerful teamwork can be when fuelled by gratitude, determination, and mutual respect.

I am on my way to next schedule …………… 😊😊😊
