PRATIKRITI | DAY 0 OF IEMPACT ’26

The world gives us appearances. The human gives them meaning.

This 31st October, IEMPACT ’26 begins with Pratikriti — our Day 0, envisioned as a celebration of photography, perspectives, and the many ways we choose to see the world.

Presented by the IEM Photography Club, Pratikriti brings together a diverse set of visual experiences:

CHITRANTAR — Exhibition & Competition
CHITRAGATI — Reel Making Competition
KSHANIKA — Live Photography
RANGOLIPI — Colour Hunt Competition
ALOKLIPI — Dark Room Long Exposure Photos

REPRESENTATIVES’ MEET
A gathering of college representatives from across Kolkata and beyond, marking the beginning of IEMPACT ’26’s outreach and bringing together the community that will shape the fest ahead.

FLASH MOB
An energetic culmination to Day 0, bringing the spirit of IEMPACT to life and setting the stage for what lies ahead.

More than an exhibition, Pratikriti is the first glimpse into the world we are building this year — where every frame holds a perspective, and every perspective gives it meaning.

A STRING THAT BINDS US ALL.

The wait is over.
The first exclusive glimpse into the 36th edition of IEMPACT is here.

This year, we step into মায়া — Maya, a world shaped by the invisible bonds that connect us, the memories we hold close, and the moments we can never truly let go of.

From art to music, dance to drama, every domain will unravel its own thread of Maya, weaving together a story that is uniquely ours.

This is more than a theme.
It is the string that binds us all.

IEMPACT ’27 | First Exclusive Look

The 36th edition of IEMPACT unfolds under a theme that binds us all — Maya.

A string that binds us all.

Maya explores the invisible, unshakeable bonds that intertwine our lives — the memories we hold close, the moments we cherish, and the connections we find impossible to let go of.

This year, every domain of IEMPACT will carry its own interpretation of Maya, with distinct sub-themes shaping art, music, drama, dance, and more. From Wabi-Sabi-inspired art to stories told through short visual series, each element will become a different thread in the larger story of Maya.
