"Baawre Mann Ke Sapne" was never just a play. It began with a room full of women, many of them stepping into theatre for the first time, and a willingness to speak, listen, question, laugh, cry and discover what might emerge from that process.
This journey came together under the Direction, Set Design and Costume Design of our Founder Director, Ramanjit Kaur.
Fourteen years later, the production returned to the stage as The Creative Arts Academy celebrates the beginning of 25 years and its All-Women Theatre Group marks the beginning of 15 years of its journey. The revival with two Housefull shows on 30th July at The Creative Arts Academy, brought together old memories, new stories and the lived experiences of the women who have grown with this collective.
Through stories inspired by remarkable Indian women writers, "Baawre Mann Ke Sapne" continues to explore relationships, identity, choices, silence, resilience and the many things women carry within themselves.
