At the end of the day, if someone doesn't meet you where you are, you cannot keep asking them to do so.If someone cannot reciprocate your love, if someone cannot give you what you truly deserve, you have to understand that aching for them to do so before they are ready is a form of self destruction.Your heart is a vast & tender thing, you can't keep trying to shrink it into what someone else needs, you can't keep pouring your love into a soul that hasn't opened their eyes to all that they are receiving.It will only leave you empty.You have to walk away because you can't love someone to their potential.They have to do that on their own.

The curtains came down on an era in Bengali cinema as Soumitra Chatterjee, 85, the most illustrious protégé of legendary director Satyajit Ray, died at a private hospital in south Kolkata at 12.15 pm on Sunday. He was suffering from Covid encephalopathy.

With the Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner’s death, a 61-year-long journey in movies and theatre that were influenced by Bengal’s history, creation of Bangladesh, the Emergency and rise of Marxism and shaped by the works of immortal writers, came to an end.

Most of the great actors with whom Chatterjee shared screen space - Chhabi Biswas, Uttam Kumar, Utpal Dutta and Subhendu Chatterjee to name just a few -- passed away over the decades. Chatterjee was the last male face of what the veterans often referred to as the golden age. The chronicle of his life, which gave the audience around 300 movies in monochrome and colour, stands as testimony.

After the fight, I whirled around expecting you'd be running after me, but the street was quiet & there was no one except for two little kids arguing over a cone of chocolate icecream. It's been over a year now & in a way, everytime I turn around, I'm holding my breath & praying you're at my arm's length.The voices of the little kids mingled with my parents who were doing the same about the tragedy of the breakup I can't seem to move past. You broke me in ways I never knew I could break. You left me questioning why it was so easy for you to let me go. You left a string of questions swirling in my head but no way for me to get the answers I needed.I wanted someone to choose me everyday but you weren't that person.You made me fall for you quickly but broke me all at once slowly

Gossiping about fantasy is something that entertains our childhood.
Noone understands us better than someone with same outlook.
Travelling under bloodshot skies,
Energising the mood of ghostly adventures.
Lives of girls were robbed by marriage gap,
The touch of happiness,
The pleasure of fooling around,
Loses its smile behind those unknown.
May become a queen by sacrifing the childhood,
But still dreams to grab on to those times.
Tries to re-live those moments but torture succeeds.
The will was snatched,
But they fought and still fighting to own their place,
Succeeding in it,
And helping the generations.
Women weren't respected and were used like some mere things,
But they stood for themselves,
Tried to gain faith of others,
And now they are an embodiment of respect and pride.
