CLINICAL SCENARIO

A 2 year old child will not go to take her nap. Her mother tightly holds her left hand as
she leads her to the bedroom. Refusing to go further, the child suddenly attempts to jerk away and them sits down screaming and holding her left elbow.

In an attempt to calm her down, mother offers her a cookie, but she cannot supinate her left hand to receive it.

MCDSA presents "মেডিকেলের মগজাস্ত্র 2.0" the Intercollege General Quiz was a sweet journey especially for us as organizers. We thank all the participating teams, finalists, winners heartiest congratulations n gratitude for being a part of this event, which will just get better in the coming years.

Quizzing is an art. And the quality of the artist is by far the soul and the decorum of any worthy presentation. Keeping aside some discrete incidents, we all hope such decorum of an event will be upheld in the coming years, ofcourse with greater enthusiasm and participation.

Finally presenting to you the Top 3 teams of the Intercollege General Quiz contest. Thank you winners for an elegant display of the quizzing art that earned you the titles.

We hope to continue with us all in future events too.

From the Organizing Committee, মেডিকেলের মগজাস্ত্র 2.0,
Recently, it has come to our notice that a post by a team member of one of the finalist teams of our General Quiz Event is doing rounds in the social media, accusing the organizers of creating a 'google-able' quiz and charging exorbitant amounts while providing 'no quizzing'. While it is extremely disheartening for us to find some of our participants accusing us of misconduct, we had at first decided to not respond to the comment out of respect for the participants' choices. Yet, we have been forced to do so after the strong hate our college ended up receiving because of a quiz. To get the facts straight, the organizing committee did its utmost to prevent online cheating during the quiz: all the participants had to keep their videos on and had to face the camera throughout the quiz. Also, the questions were timed. Teams had to answer within 1 minute on direct and 20 seconds on pass, to discourage cheating. Yes, we cannot guarantee that these prevent cheating, but they are effective in minimizing them. Also, to make googling difficult, we had connected questions, image based questions and also some explanation-based answers. We had a number of questions, searching which on google do yield answers, but those answers are either incorrect/incomplete. A number of teams (including that of the complainant) did provide the exact (and wrong) answer from the google and lost points (though we had insufficient evidence to disqualify them on grounds of cheating).
It is disheartening to find that in spite of all of these, one of the teams (out of eight in the final) found it to be 'more of a googling contest' biased against them and felt that they needed to take their grievances out on social media first, without even bothering to contact us. However, we respect their right to uphold their opinions, even if those maybe against us. What we cannot accept at any cost the slander against our college- it is not just rude, it is plain hateful. Such defamation will not be tolerated in any way.

Important announcement

Due to some controversial situations we, the organising committee of মেডিকেলের মগজাস্ত্র 2.0 Pre-clinical quiz have decided that:

1. Only the Champions and Runners up will be declared from our end.

2. No 3rd position is declared due to some unexpected circumstances.

Changes in the Prize Pool-

1. Each member of the 6 finalist teams will be given medals and participation certificates.

2. Each member of Champion team will get- Marrow subscription + Trophies + Rank certificates.

3. Each member of Runners up team will get- Trophies + Merit certificates.

Preclinical Quiz Event details :-

1. MCK EXCLUSIVE
2. Three-membered squads. Two from the 1st year (186th Batch), and one senior (from any other year till intern). Lone wolves not allowed. But, don't worry if you have teammates. We find matches better than Tinder😉.
3. First round will be by google forms , final round in zoom meeting
4. Registration starts now. Contact the numbers in the flyer for registering. Entry fee: Rs 20 per head (Rs 60 per team).
