On the auspicious occasion of Bidushi Sisirkona Dhar Choudhury's birthday on December 31st, the disciples of the revered Guru, under the banner of Guru Shishya Parampara, organized a musical evening at G.C. Bhawal's residence in Belghoria, Kolkata, as a gesture of respect and homage to their beloved 'Guruma.'
The musical soirée featured individual violin recitals by two prominent disciples of Bidushi Sisirkona Dhar Choudhury, namely Indradeep Ghosh and G.C. Bhawal. Both artists showcased their mastery of the violin, presenting enchanting performances that reflected the depth of their training under the guidance of their Guru. Accompanying Indradeep Ghosh was Pt. Gouri sankar Karmakar, and Ganesh Chandra Bhawal was accompanied by Sabyasachi Sengupta, enhancing the melodic experience with their skillful support.
In addition to the instrumental performances, the audience was treated to vocal renditions by Liton Das from Bangladesh and Pt. Swapan Chakraborty from New Barrackpore.
