How Dance and Happy Hormones are connected.

This post is mainly for the parents who want to see their children excel in academics.

And, stop or reduce all physical activities to accommodate hundreds of stressful tuitions.

There are four primary brain chemicals and neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of happiness, pleasure, and well-being.

Serotonin: mood stabilizer, it regulates anxiety, happiness, and overall well-being.

Dopamine: reward chemical, it drives motivation and reinforces positive behaviors by producing feelings of pleasure.

Oxytocin: The love hormone, it is essential for social bonding, trust, and empathy.

Endorphins: The natural painkillers, these are released in response to stress or discomfort to reduce pain and trigger a sense of euphoria.

I strongly suggest to send your children to Dance schools for better brain functioning and excellence in all activities.

OVM New Session has just started.

Krishna Janma Katha
……The story of Krishna’s birth

In Odisha, the retelling of Krishna’s birth is a
profound spiritual performance, rooted in the Odia Bhagabata by the 16th-century saint-poet Sri Jagannath Das. This specific choreography, Shri Krishna Janma Katha captures the essence of a priest’s oral tradition as he narrates Vasudev’s perilous journey across the Yamuna to deliver the newborn to Nanda and Yashoda.

The choreography opens with a brief pure dance evoking storm and rain, before unfolding into a dramatic portrayal of Krishna’s birth.

Thursdays: 8 classes
6.30pm-8pm IST
Class Dates:
June 18, 25. July 2, 9, 16, 23.

Master the Feminine Grace of Mayurbhanj Chhau

While Mayurbhanj Chhau was historically the domain of men, the art form has blossomed to include a distinct feminine vocabulary. Chhau Gurus thoughtfully developed two unique styles that maintain traditional Chhau techniques while integrating the specific gaits, stances, and daily rhythms of women.

Students will explore the two pillars of this style:

Patalmani: A delicate style featuring 12 movement patterns that capture the soft innocence of youth.

Udamchandi: A powerful, high-energy style representing "tomboyish" strength blended with seductive grace through 12 distinct patterns.

About the Guru: Learn from Lakmidhar Gunia, a premier performer and renowned Guru based in Baripada, Odisha. As the principal performer for the Government of India’s Chhauni project (SNA), he brings unparalleled expertise to this workshop.
