সমাজের শুভচিন্তক মানুষেরা প্রতিনিয়ত তাদের বিভিন্ন উদ্যোগ,প্রচেষ্টা,লড়াইয়ের মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন ধরনের বিষয়কে স্বাভাবিকিকরণের কাজে রত।
তেমনই এক বিষয় "সমপ্রেম" বা "সমলিঙ্গের প্রেম" এবং "তৃতীয় লিঙ্গ"।
বহু লড়াইয়ের মাধ্যমে তাঁরা আইনী ভাবে স্বীকৃতি পেলেও সমাজে আজও তাদের নীচু নজর ও মানসিকতায় দেখা হয়, যদিও তাতে তাঁদের কোনো দোষ নেই। সমস্যা টা সমাজের তাঁরা ওদের দেখলে ফিসফিসিয়ে কথা বলে,ভিন্ন দৃষ্টিতে দেখে,সর্বোপরি অমানবিক আচরণ করে যেটা তাঁদের কাছে প্রচন্ড কষ্টদায়ক। সমাজে আমাদের যতটা অধিকার, তাঁদেরও ঠিক ততটাই অধিকার।
জীবন নির্ধারণ করার জন্য খাদ্য,বস্ত্র,ও বাসস্থান হলো প্রাথমিক চাহিদা। কিছু কুরুচি সম্পন্ন মানুষের জন্য তাঁদের সেই প্রাথমিক চাহিদা পূরণের জন্যও অপার সংগ্রামের মুখোমুখি হতে হয়।
তাঁদের প্রতি পদে পদে অত্যাচার, শোষণ ও মানহানির মতো কঠিন পরিস্থিতির শিকার হতে হয়।
তবে ভালো খারাপ উভয় মিশিয়েই সমাজ। আর এমনই একজন "শুভচিন্তক মানুষ" হলেন রঞ্জিতা সিনহা, যার সমাজের প্রতি এক দৃষ্টান্তমূলক কাজ এবং কুরুচিপূর্ণ মানুষদের গালে সশব্দে এক চড়ের রূপ হলো "আস্তানা"।
"আস্তানা" যার আক্ষরিক অর্থ বাসস্থান হলেও "আস্তানা" কেবল মাথার ওপরে ছাদ দেয়নি। দিয়েছে উপার্জনের অনুপ্রেরণা, সমাজে টিকে থাকার ক্ষমতা এবং সঙ্গ। এখানে বিনামূল্যে সমপ্রেমী এবং তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষদের থাকতে দেওয়া হয়।
এমন এক পদক্ষেপের জন্য রঞ্জিতা সিনহা কে জানাই স্যালুট। অনেক শুভকামনা "আস্তানা"বাসীদের জন্য।
তাঁরা ভালোয় থাকুক,এবং সমাজ কে আলোয় ভরিয়ে রাখুক।
এবং সমাজের প্রতি এক বার্তা , গ্রহণযোগ্যতা এক বড়ো গুণ, যদি ক্ষমতা না থাকে গ্রহণ করবার, সম্মান করবার তবে জানবেন অসম্মান করারও অধিকার আপনাদের নেই।

Situated at Phoolbagan , the statues as a whole represent Unity in Religions .
We have a lot of people around following different religions . In some way or the other it seems that they all are same and God is one . At the same time , they are different or separate individuals in their human reality and are also known by different names .
In some way or the other , it is us humans who have separated the Gods in roops , forms and beings .
The status shows us that who ever we are , whatever religion we follow ... at the end of the we all are same and can always live together in peace .

Commissioned in 1943, the bridge was originally named the New Howrah Bridge, because it replaced a pontoon bridge at the same location linking the two cities of Howrah and Kolkata (Calcutta). On 14 June 1965 it was renamed Rabindra Setu after the great Bengal poet Rabindranath Tagore, who was the first Indian and Asian Nobel laureate. It is still popularly known as the Howrah Bridge!!
This is an important landmark of our state and It's preserved as a heritage of Kolkata.

❤Trams are not just a mode of transportation but it's an emotion for the people of Kolkata❤.
Trams were started in 1873 when it is used to be horse-pulled carriage and later electrified in 1900 and was operated by Calcutta Tramways Company(CTC). The first electrified tram ran from Esplanade To Khidirpur on 27th March 1902 and eventually numerous Tram routes were introduced across the city of Calcutta.
Over the years many Tram routes eventually have become defunct due to various reasons such as Metro works, road construction works and at present there are only 4 routes are alive and operated by WBTC after CTC was dissolved in 2017.
The four routes alive are
RT 5: Shyambazar To Esplanade( via: Bidhan Sarani, College Street, Bowbazar)
RT 18: Ultadanga To Howrah Tram Depot (via: Kankurgachi, Manicktala, Rajabazar, College Street, MG Road )
RT 24/29: Ballygunge To Tollygunge (via: Gariahat, Kalighat, Tollygunge Phari)
RT 36: Esplanade To Khidirpur (via: Race Course, Hastings, Fancy Market)
RT 11: Shyambazar To Howrah bridge
RT 25: Gariahat To Esplanade
Kalighat To Ballygunge Shuttle
Ultadanga To Rajabazar Shuttle

Now after so many days, they at least got the confidence and power to do this. Nahito, wo kahawath sach hi hoti, "POLICE KE PAAS TO GUN AISEHI DIKHAWA HAY, BULLETS HI HAY YA NAHI WO KAUN JANE."
