Monopoly: the classic economic phenomenon renowned for its remarkable ability to annihilate businesses, suppress competition, stifle innovation, exploit consumers, and erode national welfare.

Of course, the situation becomes even more intellectually fascinating when governments, those noble institutions that increasingly appear to operate of the cronies, for the cronies, and by the cronies, decide to actively enable such market structures. The resulting policy landscape is truly a masterclass in how to ruin an economy and failing a nation.

And needless to say, this bears absolutely no relation to the ongoing IndiGo fiasco in India (purely coincidental, totally unconnected, nothing to see here. Huh, corporate blackmail? never heard of it).

Today, I marched alongside my seniors, professors, and juniors, united in our demand for justice for Tilottoma. The heavy rain couldn't match the intensity of our collective energy, driven by a shared commitment to creating change. It was heartening to see people from all walks of life, including seniors in their 60s and 70s, walking from Katakol to Shyambazar with only one objective to demand justice for our sister.
We hope that those responsible for the gruesome crime against our sister face the strictest punishment under the law as soon as possible. We will not retreat from here.
