Kaustav Majumder is an emerging and highly accomplished Sitar player known for his performances in the realm of Hindustani Classical Music. A dedicated artist, he is currently under the sincere guidance of Pt. Kushal Das, furthering his mastery of the Sitar.

Majumder's talent has earned him significant accolades and recognition across India:
He is an 'A' Grade artist by the Eastern Zonal Cultural Center (EZCC) and a B-High graded artist of All India Radio.
He is a recipient of the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the prestigious Citi-NCPA Scholarship from the National Centre for Performing Arts, Mumbai.
His competitive success includes standing 1st in the State Music competition of West Bengal Government and 2nd in the prestigious Dover Lane Music Competition.
He has also been awarded the Jnana-Pravaha Scholarship from Varanasi and the title Sur-Ratna from Kalakrita, Mumbai.
🎶 Performance and Style
Kaustav Majumder has performed on national and international stages, including several successful tours across Europe (such as in Germany at DIG Dramstadt, Julius Leiber Haus, Essen, and Mechernich Eifel Musik Festival). Notable performances include a concert in the National Parliament House in Dhaka, Bangladesh, celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Vijay Divas. Beyond classical concerts, he has also played the background music in the award-winning film 'Aparijito', which is based on the legendary Oscar-winning filmmaker Satyajit Ray and the making of his film "Pather Panchali." He aims to spread the essence of pure Indian Classical Music through his knowledge and teaching.
