The wait is finally over! The official trailer of Ramayana is here, and I couldn’t wait to share my reaction with all of you.
First of all, hats off to the entire team! The visuals, VFX, cinematography, action choreography, music, and overall scale of the film look absolutely phenomenal. It truly feels like one of the biggest cinematic projects Indian cinema has ever attempted.
But after watching the trailer, one thought stayed with me.
Ravana’s entry was absolutely electrifying! The moment he appeared on screen, I genuinely got goosebumps. His screen presence, intensity, and aura were simply outstanding.
When Lord Rama was introduced, however, I personally didn’t experience the same level of impact. Ranbir Kapoor is an exceptional actor, and I have complete faith in his performance, but based on this trailer alone, I couldn’t fully connect with him as Lord Rama.
At the same time, I completely understand that Lord Rama is not meant to be portrayed as a loud, mass-action hero. His strength comes from his calmness, righteousness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to dharma. Ravana, on the other hand, naturally has a more intimidating and dramatic personality. A powerful villain often makes the hero’s journey even more inspiring.
This is purely my personal opinion based on the trailer. I’ll reserve my final judgment until I watch the complete movie.
💬 What do you think?
* Did Ravana steal the spotlight?
* Or did Lord Rama leave a stronger impression on you?
