CRYPTED HATE – MORAL ONSLAUGHT
Some albums are made to entertain you.
Some are made to disturb you 🥶
Moral Onslaught feels like the latter.
Crypted Hate’s debut full-length comes straight out of Kochi with an unapologetically old-school death metal approach — raw, aggressive, riff-driven and completely uninterested in sounding polished for the sake of it.
From the opening “Intro” through “In Hate,” “Blood in Debt,” “Abomination,” “Idol Inside,” “Moral Vision,” “Death Revelation,” “Slaughtered to Survive” and “No Mercy for Master,” the album maintains a dark, hostile atmosphere while giving the guitars and drums plenty of room to carry the attack.
What I particularly appreciate about Moral Onslaught is that it doesn’t feel like a band trying to chase whatever happens to be fashionable in extreme metal right now. There is a clear connection to the old-school death metal tradition, but the album carries its own identity through its lyrical anger and overall atmosphere.
The production also works in favour of the album’s character. It retains enough rawness to make the music feel dangerous rather than overly sterilised. The guitars have that nasty edge, the drums push the songs forward relentlessly, and the vocals sit right where they need to be — aggressive, guttural and uncompromising.
And beneath all that brutality is the album’s central theme: the rejection of imposed morality, hypocrisy, propaganda and the manipulation of belief and power. That gives the aggression a purpose beyond simply being loud and heavy.
For me, Moral Onslaught is a reminder that the Indian underground still has bands willing to make extreme music on their own terms.
Raw hate. Old-school death metal. No unnecessary compromises.
Crypted Hate have unleashed their debut — and they’ve made sure it leaves a mark.
Support the underground. Support Indian metal. 🤘
