Sponge Gourd!!!! Seeing this variety for the first time!!!! My cousin got me this along with some seeds yesterday.
He said it's a hardy plant and prone to insects.

A flower!!!! Just a beautiful flower that caught my eye!!!! No idea what it's called!!!!!
I sort-of looked at the picture I took for a while and I thought!!!! Wow!!! What a wonderful stuff this is!!!!! Beautiful!!! 🌺

Finally!! Got hold of this beauty!!!!

Basic info:

Clusters of yellowish-green autumn flowers and small, lustrous, three to five-lobed, grey-green leaves with bold yellow margins. This versatile, variegated, evergreen climber is ideal as a houseplant or for covering a low wall. For use outdoors sheltered from direct sunlight, drying winds with fertile, moist, well-drained, preferably alkaline soil.

Harmful if eaten/may cause skin allergy.

Native to Asia and Africa, this bushy plant grows seven to 12 inches tall and spreads six to eight inches.

Hummingbirds will enjoy torenia’s one- by one-and-a-half-inch flowers almost as much as you do, savoring their sweet nectar during the plant’s midsummer to mid-fall bloom period.

🌰 Nutmeg Fruit

The seeds are the source of the spice 'nutmeg' which is usually powdered and then added to a wide range of dishes, most commonly sweet dishes such as custards, sauces, cakes and puddings.

The dried flesh surrounding the seed is the source of the spice 'mace'

This is used to flavour mainly savoury dishes such as soups, sauces, curries, pickles and baked goods, but can also be used in fruit salads, cakes etc

Young husks are made into confectionery (jellies, marmalades, sweets and preserves). My personal favourite is making wine out of it.

One plant with amazing medical benefits.

Botanical name : Solanum nigrum
English names : Black night shade , sunberry , wonder cherry.
Hindi. : Makoi

One recipe I have tasted and my favourite is making Kara Kuzhambu with these green berries cooked in tamarind gravy.

Medicinal benefits:

🌱Manathakkali keerai is traditionally and popularly used for treating stomach and mouth ulcers.

🌱Effective against hepatitis C which is the major cause of liver problems

🌱The fresh berries or their petroleum extract can be consumed for treating asthma. This is due to the presence of active compound β-sitosterol in the berries.

Got hold of this beauty finally!!!

Pilea peperomioides is an Asiatic perennial herb that is native to Yunnan Province in Southern China at the foot of the Himalayas. Pileas are a part of the stinging-nettle family, Urticaceae.

Also known as pancake plant, UFO plant, lefse plant, missionary plant,' "Bender Plant"'or mirror grass.

The Naga chili, locally known as Naga Mircha, is a chili pepper cultivated in Northeast India and Bangladesh. It is one of the hottest known chilli peppers, and is closely related to the Bhut jolokia.

Known as ghost pepper’s hotter cousin!!!😆

Had to put on gloves for deseeding and planting!!

Scoville heat units (SHU): 1,000,000 – 1,500,000

If you want reference point to
Jalapeño, it's 125 to 600 times hotter!!!! 🔥

Naga Morich offers an intensely fruity, almost floral, flavor and aroma. It is ideal for making sauce and hot sauces, or for dehydrating and grinding into chili pepper flakes or chili powders.

☘️ Sansevieria trifasciata 'Golden Hahnii'

☘️My favourite varient if the Snake plant / Sanseveria.

Info:
The Golden Hahnii Sanseveria is a beautifully variegated very dwarf and compact evergreen with boldly variegated bright yellow and green foliage.

The thick succulent foliage naturally develops into a bird-nest like shape with leaves that rarely exceed 4-6" long. This makes a perfect low maintenance indoor or patio container plant.

Soil: Provide the Golden Hahnii Sanseveria with a well-drained soil and allow the soil to become moderately dry between waterings.

Also known as: golden hahnii, sansevieria gold hahnii, golen birds nest sansevieria, snake plant.
