First Half Review:

The story flows in a puzzling way through the lead characters, keeping the audience curious and guessing for the next episode. It is gripping & tension-filled leading to a striking intermission sequence.

Excellent performances 🙌

– Average First Half!

The film starts off slowly with trying to impress her husband's family. These scenes are not engaging enough to hold attention, though a few comedy bits with her friend work.

The story then shifts into action mode when her past begins to haunt her. This portion ends with a predictable but decent interval block. The stage is set for an action packed second half.

As of now, the proceedings are average at best. Samantha is carrying the film on her shoulders.

Review:

Colony is your typical zombie movie where a contagious virus spreads among people through a man with a mysterious past that is closely tied to his current rage. The characters and their motives feel very similar to those in other films of this genre, and the movie can be silly at times.

What makes Colony entertaining is the twist given to the zombies. They are not the usual brain-dead creatures but different, because they can communicate with each other in a unique way. This adds freshness to the proceedings and keeps the audience engaged.

There are many deaths, including some of the main characters, but the emotional connect is largely missing. The film tries to set things up early for an emotional payoff, yet it does not land with the same impact as or .

Nevertheless, Yeon Sang-ho manages to cover up the shortcomings to an extent with an engaging screenplay. It may not reach the heights of Train to Busan, but it still does the job and provides a decent theatrical experience.

Review:

If you’re a fan of the first three Toy Story films, there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy Toy Story 5. It brings a fresh modern theme and still capturing the charm that has made the franchise beloved for over 30 years.

The story follows Jessie, now living with Bonnie, as she faces a new challenge in the form of a tech toy named Lilypad. Like the earlier movies, it starts with a simple setup before growing into an emotional conflict from the toys’ perspective. Rather than being a cautionary tale, the film explores peer pressure and the fear of being left out, which even adults can resonate in our competitive world.

Visually, the animation looks better than ever, with several beautiful scenes throughout. Woody has an extended cameo, while Buzz gets a larger role in the adventure. The voice cast also does a great job bringing the characters to life, while the toys’ subtle facial expressions and reactions are often cute to watch. There’s plenty to enjoy here. The comedy is sharp, the toy army is a fun and creative addition, and the new characters fit naturally into the story.

Review: RECOMMENDED!

A satisfying K-drama that goes beyond entertainment to tackle a sensitive failure in the educational system. Many students carry trauma from bullying, and sometimes even teachers become victims when the system falters.

The series unfolds across ten gripping episodes, each executed with depth and precision. The fight sequences are a visual treat, and the chemistry between Kim Mu-yeol, Jin Ki-joo, and Pyo Ji-hoon lights up the screen.

Overall, this drama offers strong entertainment along with a clear social message. It makes viewers think about how bullying is handled and whether justice is truly given. The story is direct and powerful, and it stays with you even after the final episode.

Review:

A dark and gripping crime thriller inspired by the infamous 1978 Ranga-Billa case. Directed by Prosit Roy, who is known for . Here instead of turning the tragedy into a sensational crime story, the series focuses on the fear, pain, and shock that the incident caused across the country. Set in the late 1970s, it also shows how police investigations were carried out before the age of advanced technology.

delivers an outstanding performance as a young sub-inspector who himself is leading the massive manhunt. He convincingly portrays the character's determination, self-doubt, and growing commitment to solving the case. and are equally impressive as grieving parents, bringing a lot of emotion and depth to the story. Their performances make sure the victims and their families remain at the heart of the narrative.

One of the show's biggest strengths is its atmosphere. The tension and sense of unease remain strong throughout, creating a realistic picture of a society shaken by a shocking crime. The series explores the minds of the killers without glorifying them, which makes their actions feel even more disturbing. The conviction of the portrayals of the killers with the extraordinary performances of Ramandeep Yadav and Akash Makhija would be the talk of the industry once the show gets into the masses, absolute menace. The production design, cinematography, and period setting are all handled with great attention to detail.

The pacing does slow down slightly in the middle episodes, with some parts of the investigation feeling a little stretched. However, the final episodes bring everything together in a satisfying and emotional way. More than just a crime thriller, Raakh is a story about justice, loss, and the lasting impact of tragedy. It is a powerful and thoughtful series that stands out among recent Indian crime dramas.

Review - Another despicable BJP propaganda film based on the 1991 economic crisis riding on absurd and illiterate writing.!

plays a character based on the former RBI Governor, who played a key role in averting the 1991 economic crisis. The storyline had the potential to be an intense financial thriller but the makers had this brainless idea of using a peon & a housewife to solve a national crisis.

Trust me, all that policies implemented by the protagonist is inspired from the very idea of his wife placing a gold coin in her pooja room and a peon’s way of paying off debt by borrowing from another. Is it that silly.? On top of that, the makers shamelessly glorifies BJP for playing a part in fending off a crisis, when in reality the BJP politicians were creating riots in the name of Ram Janma Bhoomi at that time.

Entire reality was twisted by blaming Congress, when in reality, the principal events of the film happened right after Manmohan Singh became the FM. The 1991 gold pledging masterstroke was just a tip of the Iceberg, which was followed by the bold economic reforms of the then INC government that paved way for India’s growth. The makers made a mockery of the entire incident, without giving credits to other politicians & bureaucrats, who played a huge role during the crisis.

Besides this misinformation, the dialogues are written really bad with amateur character graphs. Some of the sequences that are meant for raising stakes are shoddily executed with no intention of focussing on the storyline. The whole film feels like a caricature in school drama written by senseless fanatics to promote populist idea of one man changing the world while ignoring the very political aspect of the subject.
