॥श्री कामाक्षी सदा विजयति॥

After slaying Bandhaksura in the form of Astadashabhuja mahabhairavi, Ambika assumes the form of Kumari, drags the body of bandhaka, threw it infront of champakavriksha outside mahabila and waits for devatas to notice this, indradi devas notice the dead body of bandhaka being dragged by a cute little kiddo, there was a sense of relief and astonishment to indradi devas, relief as bandhaka was no more and astonished after seeing a Kumari dragging asura’s deadbody, to know what has happened, Shukarooopi devatas on champaka vriksha took their actual forms and surrounded that cute little shailabala, addressed her as Kalyani, did pradakshina namaskarams and asked her who she was, before revealing on who she was, Ambika gives few instructions to devatas starting from burying bandhaka outside mahabila and constructing a Jaya stambha over it, to building a divine mantapa over mahabila, we’ll see what all instructions that KulaKumari has given to devatas in detail in upcoming posts. For now let’s understand why Ambika has taken the form of Kumari and given Darshana to indradi devatas.

॥श्री कामाक्षी सदा विजयति॥

When Amba puts things back in place, everything gets back to where it was (यथा पूर्वम् अकल्पयत्), including the parrots(indradi devas) on champaka vriksha and bandhakasura, now as bandhaka’s boon is no more valid, Ambika decides to play a divine game to kill bandhaka, on that fine night Ambika dragged bandhaka from the place of his reign and placed one foot on his heart and the other on his throat, Ambika took the form of Astadashabhuja mahabhairavi, holding chakra shoooladi ayudhas, she who is the embodiment, source and shines exceeding the radiance of Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Surya, Chandra and Indraadi devas. By withdrawing panchabootha tatvas from bandhaka Ambika killed bandhakasura. Ambika didn’t leave a single entity related to bandhaka that was present in the universe, samooola nashana of bandhaka santati was done. Ambika lets devatas know that the reign of bandhaka and bandhaka are no more, but not in this gigantic form, stay tuned.

॥श्री कामाक्षी सदा विजयति॥

According to Lalitopakhyanam and Pradhanika Rahasyam, sarvasyaadya Mahalakshmi triguna Parameswari Sri Lalita Mahatripurasundari has created trimurtis and tridevis before the creation of the universe, Brahma was bestowed with Vagdevi Sharada Saraswati, Vishnu was bestowed with Sri Kamala Lakshmi, and Rudra was bestowed with uma gauri chandi. Brahma and Saraswati were engaged to perform Srishti Kritya, Vishnu and Lakshmi were engaged to perform Stithi Kritya, and Rudra and Rudrani were engaged to perform Samhara Kritya. This way trigunatmika-trigunaateeeta SriKamakshyamba has rejuvenated trimurtis and their innate saktis after dissolving and creating the universe for the sake of maintaining the functionality of the universe, once tridevas wedded tridevis universe has manifested from where it was previously before the pralayavasta, everything came back to normal, parrots on the champaka tree didn’t know what has just happened, as bandhaka’s boon in not valid anymore, Ambika decides to end the atrocities of bandhakasura. Stay tuned.

Godha devi

Godha Devi, also known as Andal, was a 9th-century Tamil saint-poet and the only female Āḻvār of the Sri Vaishnava tradition. Born in Srivilliputhur (present-day Tamil Nadu), she was adopted by the scholar-saint Periyāḻvār and grew up immersed in devotion to Lord Vishnu, particularly Krishna. Andal composed two major Tamil works—Tiruppāvai (30 verses) and Nācciyār Tirumoḻi—which are central to Tamil bhakti literature and are recited daily in Vaishnava temples. Revered as an incarnation of Bhūdevi (Goddess Earth), Andal symbolizes devotional surrender, spiritual agency, and women’s voice in medieval religious traditions. Godha Devi’s devotion represents Śaraṇāgati (total surrender) in Vaishnava philosophy. Through Tiruppāvai, she presents bhakti as collective, ethical, and disciplined, while Nācciyār Tirumoḻi expresses intense personal longing for union with the divine. Her poetry collapses the boundary between devotee and deity, emphasizing emotional devotion over ritual hierarchy.

॥श्री कामाक्षी सदा विजयति॥

Mahatripurasundari Sri Kamakshi’s very own kshetra Sri Kanchipuram, Kanchipura is mainly divided into three parts, which are Punyakoti, Rudrakoti, and Kamakoti. Mahadevi Samatha Varadaraja resides in Punyakoti. The queen of the multiverses who has chosen Kanchipuram as her Rajadhani reigns from Kamakoti Mahapeetha, seated in the center of Gayatri Mantapa on PanchaBrahmatmaka Pranava peetha above MahaBilakasa, Kamakshyamba always graces her children with utmost love, in the current day structure in the center of Gayatri mantapa we see Amba being seated in the center and often referred as MoolaKamakshi, on Amba’s immediate right and to our left we see Amba’s very own swabimba which came from her trinetra often called as TapasKamkshi, below Tapas Kamakshi we have our Mahabila, in front of moola Kamakshi there is a Mantapa where we find a BhuPrasthara Srichakra enclosed with panavatta which is engraved with Vasinyadi Vagdevatas. This Srichakra is MahaKameshaParasivaBhattaraka pratistita Srichakra where 1st Archana was performed by Parasiva himself as said by Upasakas, then later on the order of Amba it was Durvasa who has done Sri Chakra pratista and compiled Kamakshi Saparya vidhana, and it is revoked in the past history by Adi shankara bhagavatpada.

The Mahatmyam of Kanchipura and Punya-Rudra-Kamakoti’s and Kamakshi’s Prabhava is described in Lalitopakhyana of Brahmanda Purana, and extensively described in Sri Sri Kamakshi Vilasam of Markandeya Purana, it’s a dialogue between Sumedha Maharshi and Raja Suratha, let us dive into this paramapavitra divya gatha of SivaVallariSriKamakshi
