Ok Jaanu is a modern romantic drama set in Mumbai that explores the complexities of love, ambition, and commitment in today's generation. The story follows Aditya "Adi" Gunjal, an ambitious video game developer, and Tara Agnihotri, a passionate architecture student, who meet at a wedding and are instantly drawn to each other.
Both Adi and Tara are career-focused and unwilling to compromise on their dreams-Adi plans to move to the United States, while Tara aims to pursue her studies in Paris. Because of this, they mutually decide to be in a no-strings-attached live-in relationship, choosing love without long-term commitment. As they begin living together under the same roof, their carefree arrangement slowly turns into something deeper. They experience the joys of companionship, romance, and emotional intimacy, but also begin to face the reality that their time together is limited. Parallel to their story is the touching relationship of their elderly landlords, whose lifelong love contrasts Adi and Tara's modern perspective on relationships. As the moment of separation approaches, both struggle with their feelings, realizing that what they share is more than just temporary. The film builds to an emotional climax where they must decide between chasing their individual dreams or choosing each other, ultimately highlighting that true love requires both courage and commitment.
