This is not only a mare vocal Music Workshop, rather it is a process of learning, how one can connect her or his Life with Music in both ways, Indian and Western methodology as well.
This is not only just a singing class as well. Rather this is a stair for building up a Modern Outlook with aesthetics.
The whole process will be guided under the research oriented methodology by Internationally renowned Musician Sri Gourab Chatterjee

দেখতে দেখতে জলসা ঘর তার ১৫ বছর অতিক্রম করল। এই ১৫ বছরে জল শহরের তথা উত্তরবঙ্গের শাস্ত্রীয় সংগীতের কর্মকাণ্ডে জলসাঘর এক পরিচিত নাম। এই পরিচিতি অবশ্যই সম্ভব হয়েছে জল শহর তথা উত্তরবঙ্গ এবং সর্বভারতীয় স্তরে প্রখ্যাত গুণী মানুষ শিল্পী এবং সংগীতপ্রেমীদের স্বার্থহীন সহযোগিতায় যা দ্ব্যর্থ্যহীন ভাষায় উল্লেখ্য।

প্রথম থেকেই আমরা শাস্ত্রীয় গানবাজনার প্রকাশের একটি প্লাটফর্ম হিসেবে কাজ করতে চাইছিলাম। প্রথম দিন থেকেই রেসপন্স পেয়েছি প্রচুর । সবাই এগিয়ে এসেছিলেন। সেই মতো সকলের মতামত কে গুরুত্ব দিয়ে প্রত্যেক মাসে আমরা ঘরোয়া ভাবে এবং বছরে একবার বড় মঞ্চে দীর্ঘদিন শাস্ত্রীয় গান বাজনার চর্চা ও তার প্রকাশের জন্য নিঃস্বার্থভাবে কাজ করে গেছি।
কোন স্পন্সরশিপ পাইনি । সকলের কাছে হাত পেতেছি ।যে যেভাবে সাহায্য করেছেন এবং নিজেদের সভ্যদের চাঁদা যা সংগ্রহ করতে পেরেছি তাই দিয়েই আমরা আমাদের যথাসাধ্য চেষ্টা করে গেছি। এটা অন্তত প্রতিষ্ঠিত, যে, সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতা ছাড়া আর কোন মুনাফার স্বার্থ এখানে নেই।
নানাভাবে জলসাঘর এতদিন ধরে শুধুই অর্গানাইজার এর ভূমিকা পালন করলেও গত তিন বছর ধরে একটা নতুন দিকে আমরা কাজ করছি এবং বেশ খানিকটা সাফল্য অর্জন করেছি। আর সেটা হল প্রকৃতি জীবন ও সঙ্গীতকে একত্রে বোঝার জন্য কর্মশালাভিত্তিক চর্চা। এ ব্যাপারে যার সহযোগিতা ছাড়া এ কাজ সম্পূর্ণ হতো না তার নাম না বললেই নয় তিনি হলেন প্রখ্যাত সঙ্গীতজ্ঞ বিদ্যান শ্রী গৌরব চ্যাটার্জী। নিজস্ব তত্ত্বাবধানই শুধু মাত্র নয়, বিশ্বব্যাপী তার বিভিন্ন অনুরাগীদেরকেও নানাভাবে তিনি জলসাঘরের সঙ্গে সংযুক্ত করে চলেছেন যা আমাদের এগিয়ে চলতে নানাভাবে সহায়ক হয়ে উঠছে।

গত ২৬ এবং ২৭ এপ্রিল ২০২৫ এই কর্মশালার তৃতীয় অধিবেশন সম্পন্ন হয়ে গেল জলপাইগুড়ি স্টুডেন্ট হেলথ হোমের সভাকক্ষে। দুদিন ব্যাপী কর্মশালায় জল শহর এবং প্রতিবেশী শহর তথা উত্তরবঙ্গের বিভিন্ন কোন থেকে আগ্রহীদের অংশগ্রহণ জলসাঘরেরই কর্মপ্রয়াসকে এক বৃহত্তর পরিসরে এনে দিয়েছে সন্দেহ নেই। এই কর্মশালায় শুধু গান শেখা নয় বরং গান এবং বাজনা তথা সংগীতকে কিভাবে জীবনের অঙ্গ হিসাবে বাহন করে তোলা যায়, তারই প্রচেষ্টা ও ব্যবহার শেখার সুযোগ তৈরি হচ্ছে। শিক্ষার্থীদের ব্যাপক আগ্রহ উৎসাহ এবং প্রত্যক্ষ অভিজ্ঞতার পর অভিভাবকদের আগামী দিনে এর সঙ্গে চলার অভীপ্সা আমাদের গৌরবান্বিত করেছে সন্দেহ নেই।
জলসাঘর এই ১৫ তম বার্ষিকীতে আপামর সংগীতপ্রেমী - অনুরাগী এবং শ্রদ্ধেয় সংগীত শিল্পীদের শুভকামনা ও সহযোগিতা প্রার্থনা করে। আগামী দিনে আরও ভিন্নতর রূপে জলসাঘরের কর্মকাণ্ড সকলকে উপহারের জন্য আমরা প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ।।
