On the 420th anniversary of the sacred Shaheedi of Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the official management of Paramsthaan Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj (Village Ghurial, District Jalandhar, Punjab) joins the Sangat in remembrance, reflection, and prayer. Guru Sahib’s Shaheedi calls us to contemplate a strength deeper than anger: the strength of a consciousness so firmly rooted in “Naam” that suffering could not turn it toward hatred, fear, or vengeance. In his divine bani, Guru Sahib Ji teaches, “Tera keea meetha laagai,” that the Divine Will becomes sweet to the heart that rests in remembrance, and elsewhere declares, “Naa ko bairee, nahee bigaanaa,” that no one is an enemy and no one is a stranger. This is not indifference to cruelty, nor silence before injustice. It is the refusal to let cruelty reproduce itself within us. Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s life and Shaheedi reveal that resistance may be unwavering without becoming hateful, that humility need not become submission, and that acceptance of “Hukam” does not require the abandonment of truth or human dignity. When the One Light lives within all, another person’s suffering can never be foreign to us, and the service of humanity becomes inseparable from devotion to the Divine.

As we commemorate Guru Sahib Ji, may we not remember his Shaheedi only as an event of the past, but receive its living challenge: to relinquish “haumai”, resentment, prejudice, and narrowness; to stand beside those who are oppressed or forgotten; and to meet the hardships of our own time with “sehaj”, courage, compassion, and an unshaken commitment to justice.

May Guru Sahib Ji’s bani soften our hearts, strengthen our resolve, and guide us to see no one as an enemy or stranger, but to honour the Divine Light and dignity within all.

In the spirit of the timeless words of Goswami Tulsidas, even a brief moment in the company of the truly awakened can transform the direction of a human life, for true fellowship is not merely the meeting of individuals, but the realization and remembrance of the one Divine presence living through all beings. The wise dissolve the illusion of separation, revealing that beneath all shallow societal divisions of caste, creed, status, and ego there exists a single indivisible reality binding all existence together.

In such divine company of awakened saints, the restless mind begins to quiet, the heart becomes fearless, and the true seeker gains the courage to confront both inner ignorance and outer injustice. The countless faults born from unrestrained desire, hatred, pride, greed, and prejudice begin to shed away, not through ritual alone, but through inner awakening into deeper truth. Thus, the fellowship of the awakened saints uplifts both the soul and society alike, for those who perceive the same light in all cannot remain indifferent to suffering, tyranny, or division.

In the infinite vision of His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj, the Divine is not divided across names, forms, or boundaries, but pervades all as one indivisible presence, as the same light shining through every heart. To realize this is not merely to adopt a belief, but to undertake a profound inward journey that involves a courageous ascent through the layers of ego, fear, and illusion. Our sages have taught that the true Self is not the body, mind, or identity, but the witnessing consciousness that is one with the infinite, untouched by the fluctuations of the world. This self-realization demands bravery, for it asks one to confront and dissolve the false “I,” and to stand free of societal conditioning in order to awaken to a truth that cannot be shaken by any circumstance.

From this depth of realization arises not passivity, but a fierce and compassionate engagement with life. To see the one light in all is to reject all injustice, and oppression as they are violations of that very unity. Thus, deep meditation and steadfast action are not separate paths but are a single movement: the inward awakening that dissolves fear becomes the outward courage to confront tyranny, uplift the marginalized, and live in unwavering alignment with truth. For His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj teaches that the highest realization is not withdrawal into silence, but the union of inner liberation and fearless engagement in the healing and upliftment of the world. As the world is often aflame with division and suffering, it is through awakened saints and sages who both realize truth within and live it externally, that the falling embers are cooled and the world is preserved from burning itself away.

On this sacred, divine occasion of Shri Ram Navami, we come together not only to celebrate the birth of Lord Rama, but to rediscover the deeper truth that His life reveals within each of us.

In the noble and divine embodiment of Bhagwan Shri Rama, we witness the highest ideals of dharma; integrity in action, compassion in relationship, and unwavering commitment to truth. Yet, His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj has taught, Shri Ram is not only a historical embodiment of virtue, but also the radiant Self that shines quietly within every heart.

This day invites us to move from devotion to realization. When we see Bhagwan Shri Ram in one another, divisions begin to dissolve. Differences of background or circumstance lose their power, and in their place arises a spirit of respect, understanding, and unconditional service.

As a community, may we strive to act with righteousness even when it is difficult, to extend kindness beyond familiarity, and to serve one another with humility and love.

May the light of Bhagwan Shri Ram illumine our minds, soften our hearts, and guide our actions, today and always.

As Chaitra Navratri 2026 unfolds alongside the renewal of spring, we at Paramsthaan Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj (Village Ghurial, District Jalandhar) invite you all into a sacred journey that unfolds gradually across nine divine nights wherein the Divine Mother reveals Herself through the Navadurga and as each of Her divine forms represents a stage in the evolution of the true seeker and disciple.

We begin with Maa Shailaputri, reminding us to root ourselves in stability and humility, for no spiritual journey can begin without grounding. This is the awakening and ascension from the very foundation of our being. Maa Brahmacharini then calls us toward the quiet heated discipline (tapas) through which our intentions are purified and inner energy is refined. As days progress, Maa Chandraghanta awakens courage within us, and Maa Kushmanda reveals the creative light that exists at the heart of all life, reminding us that Shakti is the vital and all-pervading force through which creation expresses itself.

In Maa Skandamata, devotion matures into compassion and responsibility, and through Maa Katyayani, it transforms into righteous action; the courage to stand for what is just, both within ourselves and in the world. His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj has taught us that devotion is incomplete unless it expresses itself in conduct. Then comes Maa Kalaratri, the most transformative moment in this journey, where the seeker encounters the primal power that dissolves time, fear, and limitation itself, revealing that what appears as darkness is but the veiling of consciousness, which is to be recognized, absorbed, and transmuted into pure awareness.

From this purification arises the grace of Maa Mahagauri, a state of inner peace and refinement, where the mind becomes still and transparent. And finally, in Maa Siddhidatri the journey culminates in a realization that the Divine is not separate from us, but the very essence of our being and that Self/consciousness and Shakti/power are inseparable, like fire and its ability to burn
His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj teaches us that this unfolding is not only philosophical, as the Divine is not distant or reserved for the learned, but is accessible through sincerity, humility, realization and love. Baba ji emphasized that true devotion must dissolve ego and extend beyond ritual into the way we live and relate to others. In this light, the journey of Navratri becomes not just inward realization, but outward expression through which societal upliftment may occur. For, to worship Shakti is also to recognize Her presence in all beings, and to act with compassion and responsibility, as devotion must naturally flow into steadfast action, kindness, and the courage to uplift others.

As we observe these nine sacred nights, we pray before Maa AdiShakti and His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj that may these nine nights allow our prayers to become more sincere, our awareness to become more steady, and our actions to become more aligned with the values we seek to cultivate.

On the sacred occasion of Holi, we come together to celebrate a festival that has been cherished for centuries as a symbol of renewal, divine love, and the awakening of life after winter’s stillness.

In our ancient traditions, the human body is described as containing subtle centres of spiritual energy known as chakras, each associated with a colour and a stage of inner awakening. These colours (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet) form a spectrum that reflects the journey of consciousness from grounding and vitality to wisdom and spiritual realization. In this light, the colours of Holi become more than festive powders; they symbolize the unfolding of spiritual qualities within the human heart. Red reflects the life-force and stability of the root, orange the creativity and vitality of the inner self, yellow the strength and clarity of the mind, and green the awakening of compassion and love. As the colours deepen toward blue, indigo, and violet, they evoke truth, intuition, and the highest awareness that connects the soul with the divine.

His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj teaches us that when we offer these colours to one another, we are reminded that beneath the many hues of life there exists a deeper unity of spirit. The celebration becomes a living reminder of our ancient teachings; that the divine presence pervades all beings, and that joy, compassion, and harmony are the true colours of an awakened heart.

With infinite blessings from His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj, may this sacred festival fill your lives with peace, unity, and the radiant colours of wisdom, devotion, and divine love. May the spirit of Holi inspire renewal in our hearts and strengthen the bonds that unite us as one spiritual family.

As the potent night sky of Phalguna deepens and the ceremonial fire of Holika Dahan is kindled on this night of Lunar Eclipse (Chandra Grahan), we the official management of Paramsthaan Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj (Village Ghurial, District Jalandhar, Punjab) invite you all into a moment of encounter between the ancient and the ever-present. What we celebrate tonight is not merely the lighting of wood on fire, but the victory of unwavering devotion and inner awakening.

In our ancient holy scriptures, the exemplary devotee Prahlāda remained steadfast in devotion to the Lord even as his father, King Hiranyakashipu, attempted to destroy him through the fiery boon of Holika. Yet the fire consumed Holika while Prahlāda survived as he was protected by his steadfast remembrance of the Divine Lord. This narrative has endured in our traditions as a symbolic account of every true seeker’s inner transformation; as the “fire” symbolizes the consuming forces of avidyā (ignorance), hubris, pride, and attachment, and Prahlāda’s survival signifies enduring divine grace received through jñāna (knowledge), self-realization and unwavering devotion.

His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj has taught us that tonight’s sacred fire ritual is both a rite of purification and a celebration of renewal. Just as the earth shakes off winter and reaches toward spring’s life-affirming warmth, so too may we all release what no longer serves us; the old grievances, hidden doubts, the barriers within that separate us from love and compassion. Let this fire be our mirror and as the flames rise, may our spirits also rise in courage, in joy, and in unity, embracing a fresh beginning of harmony and purpose.

On behalf of our community and with the infinite blessings of His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj, may this Holika Dahan kindle in your lives an ever-deepening experience of true self-knowledge and radiant devotion.

15/02/2026

On this holy occasion of Maha Shivratri, when devotees around the world keep vigil to honour Lord Shiva and renew their inner vows, Paramsthaan Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj (Village Ghurial, District Jalandhar, Punjab) offers blessings to our congregation and to all seekers of truth.

Lord Shiva is not an abstract deity but is the very consciousness within all beings as he is inseparable from Shakti, his dynamic power. This union of ‘the unmoving’ and ‘the dynamic’ manifests the cosmos as there is no difference between Shiva, Shakti and Manushya (the human). Realization, is therefore not escaping the world in renunciation but recognising that the world is the playful unfolding of the lord of lords, birthed from eternal joy, and that we are already all divine.

His Holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj embodies the confluence of non dual recognition and courageous devotion. Baba Ji teaches us all that Shiva’s light shines equally in all beings and that to see another as less or impure is to deny our own divine nature. Following his examples, we are called not only to chant “Om Namah Shivaya” but also to resist discrimination, to serve humanity. Bhakti is not resignation but is courageous and selfless love. Liberation comes when we recognise our unity with Shiva and Shakti; in the same way, social harmony arises when we recognise that the divine dwells in every person, not just within temple walls.

Tonight, as we meditate, chant, dance and remember Lord Shiva’s cosmic marriage with Parvati and his eternal dance of creation and dissolution, let us also turn our renewed hearts toward the world. May Lord Shiva dissolve the ignorance that makes us feel separate, and may Shakti awaken in us the courage to challenge injustice. May we see ourselves and others as living embodiments of Shiva Shakti, and may this vision inspire us to cultivate humility, compassion and fearless action.

May Lord Shiva bless you with unshakeable awareness. May his holiness Baba Ramdas Ji Maharaj guide you with his wisdom, and may your devotion blossom into both inner realization and social harmony.
