Hello there!
So I have lately received a lot of questions: Thought to post it all here!
1. From where I have learnt art?
2. What colours do I use when I paint on walls?
3. Is there any formal training for wall art? 4. How should we charge our clients when we paint on walls?
5. Does only pursuing art can be a full time career?

Replying the answer to the above questions in order-
1. I haven't received any formal training in art. It is all self-taught. I have been interested in art as a child and it's all practice that makes it better. It's about exploring and trying new things with an open heart irrespective of results. The more you do it-the better you get at it.
2. Acrylic colours- they are waterproof and super quick to dry.
3. I don't know if there is any school that teaches you wall art per se. But I started doing it in one of my store room walls and I kept on practising on all walls that are not to be seen on a daily basis. It took me a while, but it made me a lot better at it. So practice. If you cannot find any wall- stick a chart paper on the wall so you get an idea how to get hold of the brush when you are painting on the wall.
4. Hmmm, about how to charge- see it depends on you whether you want to keep per square metre cost that is fixed as per the size of the wall, or else since I design my wall- I charge on the basis of the time that particular design will take, how difficult or easy it is, the size of the design etc.
5. Art can be a full time career, yes. But if you are living in India, I believe you need to be practical. You might need to achieve one goal to complete another. So you can get hold of a job that pays you enough to at least sustain you well and side by side keep working on your art to make it better. Later when the art grows, do it full time because why not!

Let me know if you have any other questions. I would love to answer them!
Thank you!

Wall one represents the customer centric wall that focuses on all doodles and words related to clients adding value to them. While the second wall is the people centric wall that focuses on motivating the employees working in the organisation.

It all started on the day-1 of my Shadow module when I expressed my desire to paint a wall of a conference room that feels to be painted when I saw it.
Tina (my mentor) without a flinch of doubt encouraged me in all ways and pushed me to go with this idea. She asked me that instead of the conference wall, I should paint the two staircase walls that lead to the office.

Along with my shadow projects going in the office, I started working in and out on the wall designs. Making and learning how to present mockups was a super challenging task as I need to present the exact way how a wall will look to Nidhi, who was the Design Head.
My designs kept on rejecting almost 20 times and I had lost complete hope of painting the wall.

For almost 15 days, I didn't even touch a bit or thought of any design when one day Tina again followed up with me asking where am I in the wall's progress.
I had to do it. More than that, there was an expectation from the office people that I will be painting a wall. But when? When will my designs get approved?

I started giving myself deadlines. Learned more softwares, and brainstormed a lot. A Lot.

And then one fine day, my designs were approved. I knew now I have to do it!

My heart danced with joy and without stretching it even a bit, I purchased the required materials.
It took almost four days to finish both the walls but I must say, this experience was worth it. The rejections were truly worth it!

Oh hey! I created my first illustration on iPad pro and it does made me feel good.
YOSO - "You only start once" comes up with its next WYSS (What's your startup story)
Diksha, the founder
came up with this idea of WYSS.
What is 'What's your startup story?'
In a nutshell, they enable (mostly) first-time women founders to share their startup stories on a platform that have 2 angel investors/experienced founders and an audience to cheer for them. They also record these events to share the stories and knowledge far and wide. Started in January and already 4 sessions and 18 stories down. They have 8 more sessions to go for the year and a chance to tangibly help 50+ women leaders.
Sounds interesting no?

Go check them out . Support them, encourage them, share them as this is all what's needed right now!
