Legend (2015)
Directed by Brian Helgeland, this film is a stylish, brutal, and often darkly comedic biographical crime thriller. It chronicles the rise and fall of London's most notorious gangsters, the Kray twins, during the 1960s.
# # # The Plot
The story follows Reggie Kray, a charismatic former boxer who dominates the London underworld, and his identical twin brother, Ron, a paranoid schizophrenic with a penchant for extreme violence. As Reggie tries to go "legitimate" and navigate a tragic romance with local girl Frances Shea, he must constantly manage Ron's self-destructive and psychopathic tendencies. The narrative explores the toxic loyalty between the brothers that eventually leads to the collapse of their criminal empire.
