Reality is not always what it seems.
A century ago, Gaganendranath Tagore picked up his pen — and laughed at the world with it.
His lithographs didn’t just draw society. They exposed it. The corrupt priest. The pompous officer. The ordinary person swallowed whole by a system too absurd to be fiction.
Now, his Realm of the Absurd comes to Jaipur.
On view at JCCA.
Concept by Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya.
Come and see what he saw — and ask yourself: has anything really changed?
