Street play or nukkad natak is one of the boldest form of theatre also known as the third wave of theatre. It is a form which not only aware us about the different on goings and atrocities of people in our society but teaches us different point of view to see the world in a better way.12th April is celebrated as national street play day on the birth anniversary of notable theatre actor,screenplay writer,poet,activist,director Safdar Hashmi, co-founder of Jana Natya Manch. He was murdered by a mob while performing street play Halla Bol on january 1,1989 in Jhandapur (U.P).Shri Ram Dramatics society remembers Safdar Hashmi for his dedication to Indian theatre and inspiring us to push ourselves more.
