Galo Welfare Society Appeals for Support and Solidarity with Flood Hit Ramle Banggo.

The Galo Welfare Society (GWS) appeals to all the people of Arunachal Pradesh to stand in solidarity with the people of Ramle Banggo,Lower Siang District during this extremely difficult time.

Last month,a devastating cloudburst triggered massive flash floods that caused widespread destruction across the Upper Ramle Banggo region. Nearly 17 villages spread across Lower Siang and East Siang districts have remained completely cut off from the rest of the state after roads, bridges, culverts and mountain slopes were washed away.

The disaster has severely affected the lives and livelihoods of thousands of residents. Extensive damage has been reported to wet rice fields, orange orchards, turmeric and avocado plantations, fisheries, livestock, houses, schools and health centres. With road connectivity and communication disrupted, people are struggling to access basic necessities such as food, safe drinking water, electricity and healthcare. The prolonged isolation has also raised concerns over the possible outbreak of diseases.

The Galo Welfare Society earnestly appeals to every citizen, social organisation, community based organisation, youth group and well wisher across Arunachal Pradesh to extend their support and stand with the affected families in this hour of crisis. Every act of kindness and assistance, whether through relief materials, financial contributions or moral support, will help bring hope to those facing immense hardship.

Let us come together as one family and support the people of Ramle Banggo during this challenging time.Your solidarity can make a meaningful difference.
